Holy crap the Pale Rider is powerful, no wonder they decided to use it for Chris and Jill's finishing move in Project X Zone 1 and 2.

And it is the same exact model Jill used in RE remake on GC and Wii. You can never go wrong with the Samurai Edge pistol. Always been my favorite handgun in video games. Its just a pure shame that capcom didn't give us Barry's Samurai Edge model thats the .40S&W Beretta 96. This Would have been a perfect game for that weapon.

Jill's Samurai Edge Was Also In The Remake Of Resident Evil And Was Used By Chris In His Story. Lot Of People Didn't Know That But After Playing The Remake A Bunch Of Time.

I love how these hand guns become machine guns when upgraded and wielded by Clive. Especially the Glock 18, since Glock has a machine pistol that it makes already. I don't think it's the 18 but I could be wrong.

As for the character versions of three of the four hand guns, I think they're more for a customization thing than for any sort of tactical advantage. Sort of a less ostentatious version of the many camouflage patterns and other paint jobs for certain guns in other games. Like the gold colored Lancer in Gears of War 3, or Call of Duty's guns' many prints and patterns. So the people who buy them are likely completionists (like myself, plus they were only a dollar or so a piece), or are people who like to stand out by personal preference, because they want everyone to know they are a special snowflake, or both.

Resident Evil 4 had a Lightning Hawk, but it looked different than the one from Revelations, 5, and 6. Also, the way the Lightning Hawk looks in those three games looks like the Magnum Leon gets and uses in the original Resident Evil 2 before he finds and installs the Magnum Parts. Besides the RE4 version, it looks like the IRL Desert Eagle, and is likely based on it.

One thing I noticed they did wrong with the Samurai edge. It had a lot of requirements and I know definitely one of them were to be able to hold 15 rounds and have a decent firing speed. C'mon Revelations.

This is just my personal preference, but i usually use either the PaleRider or Muramasa as my 3rd weapon and always use charge shot, full burst, and autoloader. if possible, i also put on some ammo regen. My second weapon slot usually is a quick charge, piercing, and other parts that depend on the level that is used to stun lock or crowd control groups of enemies. the 1st weapon slot though is different depending on whatever level i'm playing as sometimes i find it better to have 2 guns regenerating ammo of the same type. my preference is entirely useless here though since i only have the original version on 3DS. wish i had atleast the console version.

Do I need to beat the game in normal mode to use the dlc handguns? Because I download the the three dlc handguns and the two dlc outfits for hunk and rachel and I don't have it , so do I need to do something special to use it?

No, you should have them from the get-go. I remember doing my first playthrough with Jill's Samurai Edge. They should be in the first weapon box you come across. If not, something's corrupted.
