Hey Paraspectre, I originally subscribed to this channel for the Pokémon TCG challenges but I have been loving these retrospective videos! I love Resident Evil and Pokemon alike so this channel really hits the sweet spot for me. Plus I find your voice very soothing so I’ve been enjoying these videos very much. Thank you.

I luckily got to play that code Veronica arcade back in the day and beat it. It was at a place called Nickel Nickel, a real fun time for a kid and all the arcades cost nickels. Some of the older titles were free ! Last boss was a tyrant and if you began to slow down Nemesis would appear to hustle your ass

So we went from James Bond, to Classic Pokemon TCG, to RE. Wonder what IP is next.

Most of the time? I forget this game even exists as it wasn't even released in the US. The sad part is that Survivor 2 did Nemesis better than RE3 Failmake 2020 did. And Nemesis wasn't even in CV lol. Looking forward to your opinion on Dead Aim. That game deserves more attention and an HD remaster. I think the only time I've liked a multiplayer RE was Operation Raccoon City. Wish we got a sequel or remake of that one.

I notice I came to associate "retrospective" with "multiple hours long", but this is nice too. Never played much Resident Evil, so I get to look at something unfamiliar too.

Code Veronica definitely has the best version of Claire, her face, her voice and her interaction with Steve.

Because this game was a nightmare or something they could have made it surreal and have RE2 locations in it as well and I dunno have Brian Irons as a mutated thing as a boss fight along with other RE2 characters and events but that would go beyond simple asset reuse from CV... They could have even put the low poly PS1 Mr. X cause that would be funny.... Nemesis has a new model though in this game I guess the superior Code Veronica lightgun shooter is Darkside Chronicles, and it bothers me that they didn't remake either Survivor 1 or Dead Aim in either Chronicles game despite them being both built for lightguns Or how they scrapped a potential original Wii game on RE4 engine built for the motion controls in mind because they thought the Wii userbase would be too dumb for it. That game may have been either Operation Javier or the bits in Umbrella Chronicles where they raid the Umbrella base in Europe, a event hinted at but never shown in any other RE.

Hey can you put in an epilepsy warning at the start of this video please? There are some moments of the gameplay with bright flashes. I'm not epileptic but it was hard to watch in a dark room 😬

??? I have light sensitive epilepsy and was fine. 😅 Please don't use illnesses you don't have to try and make your mild discomfort seem equal to actual life altering conditions, it makes it so much harder for people like me.

@Paraspectre, New Umbrella? Didn't we already destroy new Umbrella in RE6? Blue Umbrella are the good guys now. It's the BSAA Capcom is making the bad guys now. RE writing really went downhill after RE5...
