For some reason I didn't like this game when I played it in the past and I couldn't remember why haha. Now I know. I should have expected it due by the title "Survivor" but I couldn't go through the game in one shot....i am not good at it.....Gotta love my ink ribbons man

I really wonder why this was made in the first place. I remember spending 50$ on this crap [when it first came out] & only got [maybe] half way through before I just gave up! Great Review!

Dead Aim is actually fun imo. You can actually save and its in 3rd person until you use your weapon. So it more or less plays like a real resident game.

@BerserkOdin LOL. This is one of those games that would put in a drunken rage though! I'd be trying to throw my Saturn Kiosk out the window for vengence! Glad you like the spoilers at the end, I'd like to thank it can save some people some time for games they may never have time or want to play.

Awesome review. I remember hating this game when it first came out. My friend rented it and ended up burning a copy but I didn't even take the free burned copy. I was always a huge Resident Evil fan but this game was just horrible. Keep up the good work.

@ubertroopa I believe I rented this while I still working at a video store at the time and not playing it for so long. Ah man, I always wanted to do a modchip on PS1 back in the day.

It is different from normal Residen evil, but it's a great game, I really like.

I dont recommend playing with the Light Gun, to walk left you have to point the gun off screen and pull the trigger same for right but opposite, and you can't run while using the light gun.

yeah this came out real late in the life of the PS i believe and I cant remember any of my buddies picking it up as we were transitioning to better games and newer systems... glad to see we never missed much... what terrible voice acting... god... cheesy goodness at its best ... great review Mike...

@zillzultraboy I believe you're right. This was the first bad RE game, LOL. Don't feel bad, I did the same thing with Forsaken...that was awful...60 bucks down the drain at the time.

Great review Mike! I'll stay away from this one.. Looks n sounds awful =P And for a late PS title, I'd expect it to look far better. Wonder whats up with the wobbly textures on the walls.. lol

Once a year. I play this game to just get it out of my system. I've beaten it about 5 times now and each time I can only come up with the question, "Why the fuck didn't they just include the gun feature in the american version?" I have the japanese release of it as well and it doesn't really improve it much either. The truth is, this game was never well executed. The sequel and the one on the PS2 were better.

It may have seemed like a good idea at the time, but this piece of garbage feels like a low-budget throw-away project.
