Both RE3 and Survivor were the two titles that introduced me to RE. One of my dads drinking mates has an adult son who is very disabled that she cared for until her death, and he had a genuine copy of 3, and a pirated copy of Survivor (and a chipped PS1). I swapped a game for Steve's copy of 3, so that was the first I owned, but Survivor was the first I played so it still hold a very dear spot in my heart, and I now own a copy myself, albeit genuine.

I think they remake Survivor and Dead Aim with Wesker in them where Wesker causes the outbreaks to cover his tracks trying to find information about Rockfort Island which sets the events for Code Veronica. I mean those 3 games events are set about 3 months after Raccoon City giving more add-on backstory on other events in the storyline.

I thoroughly enjoyed Survivor when it was new. I still like it better than most of the newer RE games that have come out. As for 7, I had so much dun with every encounter with Jack. There should have been more enemies than just the molded. The game was really fun... until you get on the ship. Then it took a steep nosedive.

I was surprised to see a mention of Survivor and Gaiden, but there was another RE game that had attempted to do a 1st person but like the other 2 was not received well. RE Dead Aim for PS2

RE7 is my second favorite of the whole series, after 5. Once I got it working on my PC I beat the game in one long session

Imo, Biohazard is by *far* the scariest Resident Evil which is awesome. I heard some fans thought it was too scary

I actually enjoyed survivor when it came out. Played through it several times. It was bad, too easy, but in those days we enjoyed any new resident evil release. Mostly for added lore to be honest
