My grandmother's last name was Wapaneskum. They took her last name away as well and gave her the last name Roberts.

Evie False when the kids arrive that are given English names. Their original names are taken away through that.

When they were sent to the schools their names were changed to English names my great grandpa is a survivor and his last name was changed to Smith he doesn't my great grandma who passed away her last name was changed too
