By this movie, we're playing with Back to The Future time travel logic, There's also The Prisoner of Azkaban time travel logic, and The Avengers Endgame time travel logic. The first is a direct change to the future, the second is a perfect loop in history where everything you did has already happened, while the third is not time travelling but basically creating a different timeline and building it from there.
