Pete Buttigieg would make an amazing vice presidential pick. He ticks so many boxes: he’s a white male from the Midwest who will balance the ticket, he’s a veteran who understands what it means to serve, the military chain of command, VA, DoD and bureaucracy, he’s openly gay so he could smash some barriers, he’s an Ivy League Rhodes scholar so he’s incredibly smart, he speaks several languages fluently, he’s an incredibly talented debater and communicator (he’s witty and quick on his feet in debates, hearings and interviews) and he’s extremely personable and relatable. While there are other worthy candidates for vp, no one checks as many boxes. Finally, picking a governor or senator would thin the Democratic ranks in the state or federal legislature and that could come back to haunt the Dems if republicans try to impeach down the road or attempt another January 6th like coup. Remember how they tried to move everything down to the state level? For me, the choice is crystal clear: it’s gotta be Pete!!!

There will not be a better communicator in America for a long time. Pete is a person who is a humanitarian at heart and who wants to make a difference in society so that everyone has a chance to improve their lives. Everyone should feel safe and not be forgotten in this society. I also don't believe that his kindness and respect for everyone is an act. He is a person who has many unifying elements and can thus bring together opposing groups in society. The hatred in American culture, which has led to a deep division over the years, must finally be overcome. Dear Mr. Buttigieg, My neighborhood is being overbuilt with apartments and condos in anticipation of the expected use of a new light rail system. They tore down about 250 family homes in this one 100 block length. Gardens, trees, homes and workshops gone. As if light rail solves anything. They all lose money and do not have a sensible function in a future that includes a work-from-home culture. The project is now 15 billion dollars short and they will ask Uncle Sam for another massive gift. Growth is generally self-fostering and only causes more congestion and disruption. This is not Hong Kong. Those who call this kind of project "progress" do not have the cultural values that coincide with our American dream. Some call a move to the burbs "sprawl" when in fact that is exactly what creates a more self reliant, versatile and rich life style or experience. Enough room to have both indoor and outdoor projects, gardens and other healthy activities. These advantages along with more sustainable individual transportation coming available, projects such as light rail seem to me not only inappropriate, but obsolete. The number of commuters that would potentially use the system was vastly over-estimated. Please tell Sound Transit to back off and realize that they had an unrealistic dream and that what they have done is not what people voted for - that they have gone off the tracks. I would like to see Seattle and the Pacific Northwest as an example of what sustainable living should be, not another throng of robots in suits living in little boxes. Lets spend the money on coordinating traffic lights, car charging stations, battery research and making transportation more practical. In our area it seems the traffic managers stop as many cars as possible which increase pollution by a factor of 20.

@@abdulhalim5950 True Christians do not agree with gay marriage. If a Christian is not following the words of God from the bible then they are not true followers of Jesus and God. Many Christian churches are going along with this woke bs that is happing out there maybe because they are afraid of losing members or thinking they can get more members. Either way, if you find yourself among people who say they are Christian but believe in all, this gay stuff tell them nowhere does it say in the bible it is ok and it does say it is not. Gays will come up with verses that they try to say that the bible does say it is ok but they don't read the verse before or after. Don't believe in what man say believe in what God says. He is the truth.

@@abdulhalim5950 No Sir, if a true Christian is following the words of the bible then they will see there is nothing in it that condones anything gay. As I said if there are Christian leaders or so-called believers that say anything about being gay is ok then they are spreading false teachings. Ones that God never said were ok to teach. False teachers are why there are so many denominations in the Christian religion. The Muslims have different subsets of their religion too. Some very radical, some more modern, and some just as the Qur'an tells them to be. I guess being the flawed humans we are we all have tendencies to interpret our bibles in our own understanding. But I do know both true Christian and Muslims do not believe in anything having to do with being gay. Right?? Right.
