Just an FYI - When I make my jewelry, I gently blow into a straw across the resin. My breath is warm enough to bring the bubbles to the surface and pop. It works great for me and it keeps my work space clear of items like hairdryers, etc. that I won't use for more than a minute or two. Certainly for large projects like river tables, where larger areas of bubbles need to be removed quickly, blowing in a straw just won't do the job. However, because it works for me when making jewelry or pictures so well, I thought it might be of some value to others also. Thanks for your video. You answered the questions I had about what things would work to color resin, how to use them, and what the results would be. It was extremely helpful!

Thank you for your explanation of the use of resin with various paints and alcohol ink. I have been viewing DIYs and a lot of them make it seem like a chore to do. Watching you, I am inspired even more to try it. I'm not an artist and don't know how to draw, but I love color and have watched hundreds of tutorials on this. I've always felt that knowing how to use color-- to me is relaxing and enjoying the end result of what one has been created. Once again, I am inspired. Thank you.

The first video I watched of you was pouring over a small table and vases! That was almost 2 years ago! I’ve sold so many beautiful pieces and if it wasn’t for the both of you, I wouldn’t of attempted! So thank you very very much!!!!!!!❤️❤️❤️😀😀😀

At first when you said it was going to be a basic class I almost decided not to watching boy am I glad that I did. I've been intimidated by resin so this is help in my confidence building. Love the hack about using eyeshadow and how sweet are you to even suggest in the gas station torches. As us artists know... probably spend more money on our supplies then we're willing to admit to ourselves, and this includes our coupons LOL. So I have hesitated on this process. Admittedly I bought the resin and it's sitting on my counter for months now. What a great way to get rid of the old eyeshadows love it love it love it and now I'm not going to be chicken and I'm going to try it this weekend. You're a doll thank you so much for sharing this video

Fellow starving artist here. I use a $2 grill lighter and my hairdryer on low. I've even gone so far as to tape an empty toilet paper roll on the end of the dryer, and I've twisted the end of the roll until only a small hole is left for the air to blow through. I know a heat gun is only $10 on Amazon, but there are so many molds that I don't own yet!
@kelliquinn13424 жыл бұрын
@@lindaholt1610 LOL seriously lol I can do the same thing with a toilet paper tube oh, the funny thing is I had one of those like for 30 years never wanting to throw that part of the blow-dryer away when I finally do I start this art what the heck. Eventually threw a resale shop I was able to get a blow dryer with the end thing.... true about tape around it pretty sure I put it on upside down🙃 But you got to give people like us a lot of credit for being inventive.. you're my kind of person❤ Sonny had a little issue with keeping all these recyclable things because I want to use them for pouring over or poring in LOL one of the best ones I've done so far was from an old fashioned tournament that I found at a resale shop. Wish you much success and much fun with your painting, is I'm pretty sure it's keeping my sanity these days

Oh, thank you! I seriously can't wait to get my resin and my Mica powder. I have some Chrome powders I ordered a long time ago from Amazon for my fingernails. It can also be used as eyeshadow. I have a whole bunch of it too so that's awesome to know I can use it. They are really cool colors too, they are chameleons and iridescent powders. So the only thing I think I will need is a heat gun because my hair blower will probably blow it too hard and I will want to manipulate to spread the colors. I want to thank you so much!

hello, very good video. Just be aware for beginners, that a lot of resins (especially art resins) are actually not 1:1 but 2:1. Often you mix twice as much part A to part B. It will tell you on the label, don't assume what ratio to mix.
