I discovered acrylic fluid artistry while on leave from my job as a Registered Nurse in April of 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. My anxiety had reached its peak while working the front lines at our local hospital. I started watching a lot of KZbin videos about fluid art and decided to give it a try to see if it would help my anxiety. Sure enough, I fell in love and discovered it was great therapy and soooo much fun!
Then friends, family and coworkers started to request custom pieces or to purchase pieces I had already created. It was at that point I knew I was hooked for life!

Ok is this safe? No mask,body suit or special gloves?? I love this. I want to try but resin scares me

It's safe. I wear gloves. I don't use heat to pop air bubbles, that's what causes the toxins that can be breathed in. I use 99% alcohol and spray it on the resin. I wear a mask or respirator when I sand my edges. I wouldn't do it if it wasn't safe. I also run an air purifier just in case. But honestly not really needed.

@@AmysAcrylicArtistryI agree! I’ve been doing resin for years without any difficulty. I wear gloves and that’s about it but I also use resins that are low on VOCs. I would never discourage anybody from wearing protective equipment, but I feel very comfortable using it without. Absolutely beautiful pieces! I just subscribed….
