I wanted the Xmaxx for years but couldn’t justify spending that much on one truck. Last year I had the chance to pick up a roller and I put a Hobbywing esc and stock motor. Absolutely love it. I wish I had just bought one before. When I get the chance again I will own a new one. Great video man

The xmaxx suspension is unmatched, it’s crazy plush and always so active. Love how it looks going into turns, landing sideways in that dirt 😎

I sold my orange xmaxx 8s two wks ago. Biggest regret ever. So got another xmaxx 8s few days ago same solar flare. Such good looking truck color. 🔥 It bashes well 👍 I’ve never broke anything off my orange xmaxx except $6 shock cap and I bashed it so many times. Keeping everything stock is were its at. It when everyone starts upgrading aluminum parts/heavy wheels/more power, parts start breaking. Traxxas did a great job with xmaxx out the box. I’m just adding Traxxas roof skid plate and Traxxas light kit and keeping it stock. Great bash video 🔥 that was awesome. 😎

I love the excitement Tony has for the new Xmaxx, awesome backyard bash session! I just ordered a new 4S kraton and don’t know if I could justify the price difference, but man this is making me rethink that maybe I need a 8S vehicle in my lineup….

The 8S is awesome but you are gonna have a blast with the new 4S Kraton.....it's gonna be a beast....4S is a perfect size and power to bash anywhere, sometimes the XMAXX size is a little much, and the 4S 10th scale will probably be faster than a 8S Xmaxx....either way your gonna have a blast...I can't wait to see the 4S Kraton..👍👍

Nice pick up. I love my X-Maxx, but mine has a few upgrades, including the Max 5 and 1100kv 5687 motor with 25/35 gearing. It's a freaking BEAST! Double and triple backflips easily. Hehe. It's a very durable RC, even out of the box, for the size.

Something about the xmaxx is just a lot of fun. The noise it makes hitting the ground. It just “feels” big and more like a monster truck.

A max6 with some gearing will completely change that rig for the better. The gears are a must. Rpm hubs. Cen or m2c captured hinge pins and that thing turns into a tank!

Love my xmaxx! It takes a beating. Leave it mostly stock. I sold my stock one and kept my built one. They are much better stock besides esc and servo. Once I put the max 5 combo in mine I just started breaking stuff and it’s a never ending upgrade cycle. Now it’s so heavy it can’t take the beating it did before. I want another one with an upgraded servo and esc. Enjoy it man. Love that color!

This is one of the most fun xmaxx bashes I’ve seen in a while! They’re so much fun stock. Keep ya a spare spur gear and keep that pinion right. That’s all I’ve ever had happen to mine.

The most incredible aspect of these things is not just their sheer size and weight… but the power they have to effortlessly do what they do given it’s size and weight straight out of the box, the way these things spray rocks, wheel stand, back flip etc is unbelievable!!… I remember when I was a young kid looking at my dads old thunder tiger EK4 thinking yep, nothing could possibly top that 😂😂

First thing to change would be the pinion and spur. Mine slipped off within the first 5 min. Then after putting back on, within 10 min was doing a wheelie and it dropped and wouldn't move. It had stripped all but 3 teeth combined between the spur and pinion combined. The gears are the particle board of metal. I put a tekno pinion that has a 2.5mm grub with a flat bottom so you get more torque on it without worrying about stripping it and Hot racing spur. Have not had any problems since. And if you do shred the gears before replacing them, make sure to get ALL loose teeth out of it. And the Xmaxx has alot of spots they can get into and mess up other things. Just a heads up. I learned the hard way. Of course for some reason my 8s came with 6s rated tires so they sent me the correct ones after showing a pic of the tire over the rim, motor warranted out within 5 months, center differential should not have passed QC and waited 3 months for the new spider gears to come in for it ad the original ones were miss cut. All good now. Lol

same as someone who used to run on nitro's an the only thing that worried me was the Lipo's popping 🔥 in to flames but i finally took the jump 2 yr ago an never been so much happier to run on Lipo's an Maxx's are just a better all-rounder 😁

All I did was get 2 Traxxas to EC5 adapters, now I can use all my 4s batteries on my Xmaxx. I would get the roof skid plate and coat the inside of the body with a pickup truck bed liner. Something like Herculiner.

Awesome video mate! After watching your video i literally just bought one online! Can't wait for it to arrive. I used to have a Revo 3.3 nitro and that thing was unbreakable. I also had a Losi 5T and that thing would break something every time i took it out and not even giving it a hard time. Traxxas makes good stuff in my experience. I have a shiny new Sledge sitting here that I haven't run yet... it's so pretty and all I have to run on is dirt and gravel. I'm waiting until I get to the dunes next weekend. For now my Outcast 4S V2 and Fireteam are doing just fine. I'd love to have an XMaxx at some point... maybe next year. I'm kinda broke from buying too many cars. Michigan is so gorgeous, but I don't want to deal with the winters. I'm in Montana right now, but am heading south into Utah and Arizona for the Winter... next year I might head up your way though.

Change ya tires to Arrma Copperheads with MonsterRC wheel nut adapters and eBay 13mm hex hub adapters...gotta have them to fit Arrma tires....set steering EPA down a lil so tire don't rub steering rods..cheers from Arkansas

I'm watching from Maine like at almost 4am because my little one keeping me up all night. While she watching TV and I'm on my cellphone watching this. Your makin’ me jealous 😂 that thing looks SOO COOL! I’ve been wanting one since… well since I found out about them a few years ago. My main problem isn’t even price it’s just space lol. Even with a few 1/10 vehicles and some 1/14 and 1/18 rigs im still running out of space lol. I’m with you on the batteries as well, they are definitely super nice and super easy to use but I’d never buy them new because I can get more powerful longer lasting ones for cheaper on banggood Amazon and even from Spektrum. Although I will say that when a good deal comes up on some used ones I usually jump on them cus they just work so well with the stock Traxxas electronics

Man put black gorilla tape under it. My orange xmaxx body is still I great condition. Same with UDR. They just don’t break easy at all With that fiber tape on there. Also get the skid for the top. Makes it flip back over easier too.
