In this Physics video for Class 10 in Hindi we explained what resistivity of a material is and what are the factors of resistance of a conductor. This is a topic of Chapter 12 - 'Electricity' from NCERT for Class 10.
Electrical resistivity is a fundamental property of a material that measures how strongly it resists electric current.
Electrical resistivity of a material is defined as the resistance offered by a slab of unit length and unit cross sectional area made by that material.
SI unit of resistance is ohm - meter (Ω-m)
Different factors of resistance are -
(1) Material
(2) Length
(3) Cross-sectional Area
(4) Temperature

Sir ek request ye hai ki please ek baar is topic pr video bana dijiye jo ki related hai conventional current aur electronic current pr 1.Sir kyu conventional current ko ye naam diya jata hai 2.sir wo kaun se kuchh laws electricity se related hai ki jinki validity ko banaye rkhne ki wajah se hame conventional current ko prefer krna padta hai. 3.sir ek cell ki help se thoda samjha dijiye ki kaunsa end high potential pe hota hai aur kaun sa low pr aur 4.sir positive end ko kyu high potential pr mana jata hai jabki high potential pr to negative end hota hai jiski wajah se electron move krte hai aur current banta hai Please sir ek detailed video conventional current aur electronic current pr bana dijiye 🙏

What is the difference between resistance and resistivity?
@karranveersingh6
@karranveersingh6 27 күн бұрын
Resistance and resistivity are related but distinct concepts in electrical circuits: 1. **Resistance (R)**: This is a measure of how much a material or component opposes the flow of electric current. It depends on the material, its dimensions, and its temperature. Resistance is measured in ohms (Ω). For a given material, resistance increases with length and decreases with cross-sectional area. The formula is: \[ R = \frac{V}{I} \] where \( V \) is the voltage across the component and \( I \) is the current flowing through it. 2. **Resistivity (ρ)**: This is a fundamental property of a material that quantifies how strongly the material resists electrical current flow. It is an intrinsic property and is measured in ohm-meters (Ω·m). Resistivity is independent of the size and shape of the material. The formula relating resistivity to resistance is: \[ R = \frac{ρL}{A} \] where \( L \) is the length of the material, \( A \) is the cross-sectional area, and \( ρ \) is the resistivity. In summary, resistivity is a property of the material itself, while resistance depends on both the material and the physical dimensions of the object made from that material.

Sir as we know that due to potential difference there is current in a circuit i.e I depends on V how we can say that V is proportional to I which means due to current there is potential difference
