In this Physics video for Class 10 in Hindi we explained what Ohm's law is and how the concept of resistance comes from Ohm's law. This is a topic of Chapter 12 - 'Electricity' from NCERT for Class 10.
Ohm’s law states that the potential difference, across the ends of a given metallic wire in an electric circuit is directly proportional to the current flowing through it, provided its temperature remains the same.
Resistance is the property of a conductor to resist the flow of charges through it.
SI unit of resistance is ohm and it is represented by the Greek letter Ω
If the potential difference across the two ends of a conductor is 1 V and the current through it is 1 A, then the resistance R, of the conductor is 1 Ω
Conductance is the property of a conductor to allow the flow of charges through it.
SI unit of conductance is mho (older) or siemens and it is represented by S
