Love the video, I am curious how much the initial costs are for the leather and tools.

Thanks! I didn't keep close track of what I've spent but it's not a cheap hobby. I've probably spent at least 1.5K or so and that's without getting a sewing machine/leather to make my own uppers.

Where did you get your lasts from?

I got these from Marcell Mrsan, but I’m not sure if he keeps lasts in stock. I think I just got lucky with the timing.

@@bladecentered2264 If they're boots that you don't wear because of bad fit, I say go for it! Better to give it try than to have some boots sitting in the closet forever. Good luck!

4:45 you are completely miss using this tool. It is not for skiving. It may look like a French edger but it isn’t. It is meant for channeling. You are using a left handed tool with your right hand. You also should probably sharpen it as it really shouldn’t be this dull. Good luck.
