After using a hybrid mask for years, I switched to this after ResMed discontinued the hybrid. I found the mask a bit counter-intuitive - I get a better fit when I don’t force a tight fit under the nose. The beauty of this design is that the nasal bladder inflates to create a snug fit. I get perfect/near perfect mask fit scores - better than when I was using the hybrid mask. As a side-sleeper, I get an even better fit when on my side. Perfect mask for me, after being committed to a hybrid. If you try this mask, have it sit right under your nose - don’t force it snug. When you start your therapy, the bladder will inflate to seal the nostrils. Give it a chance.

I like this mask and also the Amara View mask. The Amara - really seems better - as it seems to really allow me to keep my mouth mostly closed and breath thru my nose (at least while I'm falling asleep ) At times the F30 ends up really pushing up against my nose and I even feel that discomfort for an hour after I'm up. But at least its not crushing the bridge of my nose like other masks. I'm not really thrilled with the F30 head gear. I wish it could get a little rework.

under the nose at the pressure point starts to hurt after a few days, cause you have to keep it tight to seal right or you get leaks round the nose pillows. Had to go back to my old mask for a while so that pressure point would quit hurting.

I get great results with this mask as far as numbers are concerned...such as events per hour are much better..However leaks are an issue..11 times i had to adjust for leaks last night. Overall this mask works as well as my Mirage Quatro. the Quatro leaves marks on my face..Leakage seem to be a problem with all masks i have tried..finding a good mask is a bit of a crap shoot..

I'm extremely happy with my mask and it works fine. I couldn't get to grips with the mask that just covered the nose as I breath through my mouth!

I absolutely loved this mask at first but found after a few hours my the bottom of my nose was becoming sore from the pressure. i do have a high pressure setting though ( 18) . This mask seems to deliver air much more efficiently than the full face mask and holds a seal much better. I'm experimenting wit ha lower pressure to see if that resolves the problem. Of course this review is for MY FACE with this mask and your results may be totally different.

I did too at first, but the masks don't hold up for long. After a couple weeks they are wearing, stretching or something. I was getting rash from the material due to the heated water vapor, too high humidity. The office turned it down for me and that helped at first. After several months using them, I noticed that my lower teeth were being pushed back and are now crooked. Dentist noticed too. Caused by pressure of mask against them. Also, my F30 masks started leaking during sleep. Wakes me every hour or so to readjust. So much for good quality of sleep. I am allowed 1 mask per month on my insurance. When I told my suppler, they said to buy new masks myself on Amazon, much cheaper. It still does not help or solve the problem. Not happy with them at all, nor the entire ResMed system & headgear. Bruised face and headaches. Wish I could find something that works better. Yes, I did try the F20 with the head mounted hose, hated that too. They told me F30 was better. I am about ready to give up the entire process.

@@grandmakate5648 what is your pressure? I quite using water years ago. It helps with the sealing but like you I was experiencing heat rashes and didn't like all the water vapour inside the mask. The masks can be very hard to wear for most people.

hope this helps someone- found the issue is not the mask its the quiet flow elbow- the silicone check valves do not seal properly (little opening at centre enable heavy exhale to lift flaps- when exhaling heavy or at higher pressures the check "flaps" seal the exhalation cycle so you breath back into the tube- after 2hrs , you are breathing almost pure co2- and hot moist second hand air (more like 300 hand air) . do some tests just on the quiet elbow... it is a poor design - brain melting after a 2 weeks super poor sleep 1.5 - 2 hr mask removal. mask used was airfit 20 not 30- but same quiet flow elbow... airfit 20 is super comfy though... poor R&D from resmed- they lost my business...

I have been using my F30 mask for two weeks now and I love it. It is comfortable, easy to adjust, secure when moving in bed and very quiet. I have not experienced any air leaks once my mask was properly adjusted. I honestly wouldn't change anything about this mask except to add memory foam in the future. If you are looking for a great alternative to a full sized face mask, give the F30 a try. It has been the perfect fit for me.

Kathie, I used the Amara View for quiet a while, which is similar in design. I felt like the nostril holes would slip out of place and be blocking my nostrils partially, and I would wake up and have to adjust it back into place or be breathing out of my mouth. Have you had anything like this happen? I've been using the AirTouch F20 for a couple of months, and I like it, but I would like to be able to wear glasses in bed so I can read before I go to sleep. I do feel I've had some issues dialing in the fit - and it looks like this one has the same headgear as the F20. Any insight you have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

My husband has this mask now, but the valves that keep him from breathing air in from outside the mask also seem to be keeping him from expelling Co2. He has used the Amara View mask for years but his clinic ran out and sent him the airfit f30. So far he hates it. But I’m thinking the mask may not be preforming as it should.

I love my F30 mask but the first two days it gave me a headache cause I didn’t feel like enough Co2 was going out through the tiny fusser holes. So I took the elbow apart and drilled 8 of the holes larger with a micro drill bit and glued it back together and it works 10 times better. You can’t see it but if you take the diffuser apart they put a baffling type breathable fiberglass over the holes to muffle the sound as it comes out

Cud be made of softer material with rounded reinforced outlines to avoid cushion cutting into mouth area. Cushion nostril also to soft. Mask shud be softer and cater for pointed noses.

I have been wearing a mask for at least 10-12 years. I seem to notice after a week or so that new headhear loses some of it’s elasticity and has to be pulled down hard to seal. It really seems to make difficult getting the mask seal well. . As soon I get new headgear the problem disappear for another 7-10 days. Anyone else notice this?

Is there a size LARGE version yet? Just went to doctor today and she put the medium F30 on me with 16.5 pressure and I was impressed but she said I should order the LARGE instead which she had no sample for. Medium is a bit too narrow for my wider but not extremely wide nose.

Sorry only two sizes small and medium for mask and strap. Jiggle it around to get a good fit. Mask should fit under nostrils (nostrils is the objective ) not to the tip of nose. I've been on it for three months. Just a well to get a proper fit. Good luck

my pressure is at 14 and if you dont have that mask tight it will leak at the nose pillows and then you will have a pain in the pressure point under your nose above the lip where the curve of the pillow sits just under the nose, and it will hurt so bad you wake up in the middle of the night.

Try pushing it higher towards your forehead to make sure your nostrils are really in and the edges of the cushion come up the outside of your nostrils. I am having problems getting my cushion to snap back in. It just keeps falling back out. I don't hear a snap sound or see anything for the cushion to grab onto like a lip. My husband thinks you put it in and then give it a little twist. It seems to work for him, but not me. Any ideas as to what I am doing wrong?

Good vid . The mask is great, however as all things got to get the sizing of frame and face peice right. Much prefer the hoses that come from top of head as oppose to the nose area . No pulling / tugging down etc or getting caught up in bed 🛌 at night. Practicing/ training your body to sleep on your side if you can - as it helps keep airways open more as oppose to on your back . Pillows - low, thin ones .. Ahi events - have dropped steadily, 😊🌈 just keep going don’t give up ... Your health and overall well being will be better off - long term 🌈 Sleep well all ..👍

I wish they had a large strap for the mask. My large head is a very tight fit for this with the straps tugging a ton on my temples, top of head, and back. When I try to compensate by loosening up the mask a bit going to the furthest possible I can the mask loses seal and I end up with fragmented sleep. I've been using it for about 2 weeks now and tracking stats online with it it is giving me usually 80% efficiency each night which is okay. I have still been getting episodes though where my heart rate is spiking due to low O2. Despite that it is the best treatment mask I've been able to tolerate thusfar. Just wish it came in a slightly bigger size.

The mask actually comes to two sizes, small & medium.I'm big-headed but the medium fits.My problem is while sleeping, the mask can ride up enough that it sometimes obstructs the masks' nasal openings.at the same time my lower lip drops below the mask base breaking its air flow.I wonder if this harness comes with a chin-strap option?

Hello sir. I've used this mask for nearly a Year now. My experience is that there is a great difference to how well the mask seal to the skin if your head is tilted in forward (like when looking down) or backward ( like when looking up) while sleeping. I miss that the belts are more elastic. Else I have tighten it too much and then it gets a little unconfortable. Also i have sewed the welcros since they came apart while sleeping. Could it be an idea to add stronger welcros? Thank You in advance

It does. You contact a sleep study doctor and the test your breathing during an overnight sleep over. then they can tell how much air you need to keep your throat open while you are sleeping at home. Your insurance covers the cost of the testing and supplies according to your contract.
