Ive tried 5 different hybrid full face masks including the new F&P Evora full and the F30i is by FAR the most comfortable for me. It’s the only mask I can use all night. My setting is high pressure at max 25 cmh20 so I really need to strap whatever mask I wear tightly to keep a seal and this mask works perfectly for me. I also love that I can turn my and lay on my side and it doesn’t affect it at all. LOVE THIS MASK!

I'm new to CPAP and am choosing my first mask. Are you still using the F30i? With the side tubes running down this sides of your face, do you find them uncomfortable at all when side sleeping? Thank you!
@valyum55044 жыл бұрын
I've been using this mask since April 9. It's the most comfortable mask I've ever used and I've been using a bipap machine for over 10 years. Just don't overtighten the straps. The area below the nose isn't made for a lot of pressure. You can find a pressure that won't cause pain but will create a really good seal. This mask is the unicorn. I highly recommend it.

Are you still likeing that mask?
@valyum55044 жыл бұрын
@@glendavesich2677 Hi. I really am still liking this mask. I also like that I can wear my glasses with this mask on my face. Also, I don't do it too often but there were several times I just unclipped the quick release at the top of the mask tube to go to the bathroom at night and easily clicked the tube back in when I returned to bed. I think it's a really sweet mask. Very comfortable and it doesn't leave those marks on my forehead like those other masks do with those forehead supports.
@glendavesich26774 жыл бұрын
@@valyum5504 does it leave any marks on face at all? And does it leak at all?
@valyum55044 жыл бұрын
@@glendavesich2677 Good questions. I find in the mornings I have marks where the mask tubes come down the sides of my face to get to the mask. But the marks are very light and are gone within a half hour or so unlike those forehead marks I used to get with my old masks that lasted for days. As for leaks, normally there are no leaks but every once in a while a strap gets a little loose ( probably because there's a little stretch in them) and then there's a slight leak. I remedy this by tightening the strap a bit which is easy to do without even lifting my head off the pillow.

I measured the width of my nose at 1.5” and the length from face to tip is 1”. I have been using this Since January and received a really bad “fitting “ from my supplier. Due to COVID they wouldn’t let me try more than one mask, never measured or anything. I feel the edges of the nose part pinch my nostrils together so I think I need a medium wide? She gave me a small mask and headgear to start but the measuring guide in the bag puts me at a medium. I have since tried the medium but my ahi is average 9.8. Love love love! Your video. I recently switched to this mask after using a Resmed full face mask for several years. I kept waking up with deep red marks on my face from the full face mask and needed a change. This mask totally removes the red marks. When first using the F30i mask I would wake up with a sore nose from it pushing up on it all night, but that has gone away. I have noticed that I felt like I was starving for air during the ramp up when I first put it on, but I raised the bottom number on the ramp up and I feel I can breathe easier. All in all I am enjoying this mask so far.

I have an F30 mask and have bought liners from Silentnight at 6 quid each which only last for a week and are rough on the skin, then from Padacheek a piece of cloth with a few holes cut in it for 40 quid! Then I thought, hang on, I could do that much cheaper. I just need it to protect my skin from the mask so I borrowed a cotton face mask from my sister and she cut two holes for nose and mouth, clipped it over my ears then put the F30 over it. Works fine. You can get them for 1 or 2 quid and they are washable. Give it a try. Also found that the mask slips forward and so doesn't stay firmly on the nose, especially a problem when sleeping. Bought some large velcro cable ties and connected the front and back headstraps, tightened it to a secure and comfortable position and it works fine and stays in position through the night. Great to be able to use the F30 as it is the most comfortable and the full face one brings out a nasty rash on my nose.

The cushion does come apart from the frame and headgear. In my use, the front vent holes on the cushion are much noisier than the F30, even when nothing is near it. I find the 4 different sizes of cushion available a good thing as there is a higher chance of finding a good fit, compared to only 2 sizes available for the F30.

And I love it too BUT it only lasted me abt 30 days till the small "hinge" at the frame where u attach the cushion will give way after constant taking out the cushion everyday to wash. I usually wash the cushion everyday n just wipe with anti bacterial wipes for the frame. So I don't recommend it for long term due to that small "hinge" design. Helpful info, thank you! I've tried both the F30i and the Respironics Dreamwear equivalent. Found that Dreamwear had two relatively hard, pointy silicon nodules around the face mask tube entry points, which would painfully dig into my face and create small red marks by morning. Dreamwear's top connector's really easy to push into its headband, and if that happens, the mask will hiss/roar in your ears. The F30i, in comparison, does not seem to be digging its hard plastic tube-to-mask connectors into my face, but the mask seal itself tends to dig its edge into the face unless one flexes cheeks to sides to re-seat the silicon. FYI the F30 I tried was far worse wrt face sealing and proved impossible to seat without leaking / "flatulating".

My favorite as far as sleeping comfort is the nasal cup N20, but it causes gums issues on the gums under my nose. The pillows P10 are also comfortable, but the thin strap can come loose and it doesn’t allow for enough air to flow, so I don’t sleep as deep or as long. The P10 can be lying on the bed without me blowing air and the CPAP shows a good fit??? So, I’m stuck with the full face F20 mask, which is not too bad as far as comfort, and one benefit is that it works when my nose is clogged up during allergy season or when I have a cold. The bad news is that it can leak if I turn my head wrong and my wife will wake me and it can blow a hefty stream of air. The deepest sleep that I get is with a full face mask. I can tell after a one night back on the full face mask that I was in a much deeper sleep and I don’t wake up at 5 am for no reason. So, the bulky full face does a better job for the reason that I use a CPAP. I keep trying new masks but I end out back with the Fighter Pilot look.

What happens when you're on your side? Squishing that soft tubing? The sleep Center that set me up with a mask with a front tube didn't recommend the style of mask you're showing with the soft silicone saying that when you're on your side you pinch the flow off. I felt like it probably wouldn't matter as I only have one hose in the front now with the nasal mask. I'm assuming that the flow just goes through the one side, but does it affect performance at all or is there something that prevents it from fully collapsing when you're on your side?

I have a small steady leak at the bose at one side blowing right at my eye. What is the way to stop that. I was sized at my doctor. The tech tested at full pressure. We did not hear but at home it is annoyingly small stream . I have tried tightening but not stopping as it is at the top of nose. If it wasn't blowing at my eye, I wouldn't mind the tiny leak compared to FP Evora nasal Which their vent ports blew into my eyes but I couldn't use it on my side as it kept opening up and she thought my nose shape really didn't suit the Evora. But that one really seemed to dry out my eyes making them feel puffy. So I'm a little more sensitive to this new one leaking already. Any tips?

Also I noticed some condensation, my humidity is set at 5 because my last mask the F20 was at 4 but was causing me too much nasal and throat dryness and yes I changed the mask setting on the machine to a full face mask.

You actually never turned the inside portion to the camera lens. A few questions: if you open your mouth during sleep does the pressure equalize or does it come out of your mouth, what is it like to sleep on your side with the tube against your skin (hot,cold, pressure rise or depres…, sweaty), how can one return a medical device that you’ve opened or put on your face? Thanks for the video.

I like the F30i, but my insurance allows a new mask seal every 30 days and I find that the seal starts getting floppy and more leaky after 15-20 days.

I can't lie on my side with this mask. When I do, it starts leaking at the tip of my nose. I also feel like I am fighting to get enough air through my nose regardless of sleep position. I was a medium with F20 and they assumed medium in this F30i. I had high hopes for this mask because I am tired of a sore red nose bridge every morning.

Funny its the only mask i can sleep on my side with. No side drooling either. Did you try more than one size? It took me two sizes to find the right combo. For me its standard/wide

I have the F30i. Really comfortable but annoying because of the air vents. Does the f30 vent air more quietly??

I still don't understand how if they are blowing hair at you constantly, how is my exhaled air getting out of the ports before my next inhale. I just started with FP Evora nasal And don't feel like I'm able to exhale as fast as I would like. I just don't see how with air rushing towards me. It's going to exhale all the CO2 out before I breathe in again.

I just got this mask and have a couple questions. I’ve watched your video and it was great thank you!Y two question are am I supposed to feel cold air coming out from chin area? I feel cold are on my neck and why I move my mouth I feel feel leak happening under chin and sometimes on the side. Second question the nose cushion part is supposed to be flat against my nose? I can kind of feel the top part of cushion. I wonder if this means I for wrong size. I got a small with standard headgear. Thank you for your time .

I don't know if you still monitor this or not but here goes. I have been using the Dreamwear masker several years. very similar top this one. I still manage to open my mouth and the bottom seems to get inside of my mouth and I end up mouth breathing. What mask would you, with your vast knowledge of masks, recommend? Thanks!

Great info. Thanks. Although sometimes, less is more and getting the bottom line is great... Don't let anyone dull your shine.

I use the phillips respironics dreamwear nasal mask, would this mask fit onto the same tubing or would i need a different tube?

Mr Squirrel! 😻 Kisses to that sweet boy!! 😽❤️ Thanks so much for this video. Got this mask recently as a backup when my nose is too stuffy for my n30i nose mask. They didn’t fit me for the F30i since they only had one sample, and that must be why it leaks. Standard size headgear must be too large. I’ll try getting small one instead. I have small headgear on my other nose mask. Much appreciated!

Mine feels like it's not leaking and I can't hear anything but when I do a mask fit on the ResMed machine it says it's not fitting

The side tubing has air going through it. SO... When you sleep on your side does the tube collapse and therefore reduce air flow?

Can you imagine the pain ordering, and getting all the right equipment, using Crapria as your DME? I’m sure it’s a great mask. I still love my F20. Thanks Jason for the great content! I’m looking forward to a future Snappy Says video. I hope you guys are doing well.

I keep having ideas for Snappy Says....like a LOT of them. Problem is that with my family always home it makes recording very difficult considering the subject matter is a little more adult. I'm disgusting but I'm not a savage!!! Thanks Jonathan!

They have a guide where you measure around the top of your head to under the nose to see which frame is right [apx. 24 - 26"]

Just got mine and my question do I mostly breath with my nose and the purpose for this mask is just in case my mouth opens I'll be able to continue breathing through the mask?

I'm new to this mask and I'm really struggling with it. I started with a medium and it leaked like crazy. I switched to small and it's still leaky, getting really frustrated with it. I love the design as I'm always switching sides I sleep on and the hose above the head is great. I guess I unfortunately have a shape that doesn't work with this
