I think this is my issue too. New to cpap. I use a nasal mask. I wake up with my mouth tape leaking. I just ordered the cover roll stretch tape. I signed up on the Oscar platform and look forward to learning more.

For Resmed Airsense 10 / 11 and OSCAR, will any SD card work? Or does it need to be formatted specifically. Or does the machine have one installed? My current machine doesn’t have one installed. Thanks!

Love your videos....do you know if someone makes a better more minimalistic strap....I love the nose piece I just cant stand all those straps

So one observation I have from using this system and having now tried two separate headgear units, it does not actually 'lock' in place and I initially thought based on all the videos I have seen. . There may be varying degrees of friction or resistance along the slidy parts but I find that no matter what it continues to pull tighter and tighter as the night goes on to the point that it nearly inverts or restricts the pillows. I have found no way yet to set and 'lock' a setting with less nose pressure that will hold. Ultimately it just bungees in until it can't bungee in any more. It's a disappointment because I love this mask for all it is, except for that feature that does not deliver as advertised. If anyone can tell me what I am doing wrong I am all ears. No one has yet been able to and I can't be the only one.

Thanks for clarifying the fittings. The size charts says I'm a medium but the SW is more comfortable and the SW has larger holes now with the revisions over the years. I know the video is 5 years old so they have made some changes since then. Thanks again

since you made me watch 10 min video to know why emptying water tank to clean is dangerous I deserve an answer to my question what leak rate indicates mouth leak. I saw 3-7 L/min at times. mostly around breath disturbance waves. but isn't this too small for mouth leak?

I’ve tried it with the new cushion and for me it works fantastic. Much better. I don’t have any problems leaking. It’s more comfortable to for me.

I have the new ResMed and I got the filters with it,CF-39300-2, Then I order the AHC-39304-2 Disp Hypo Allergen c air 11 2 pack and they are both the same, I shined a light through both of them and cut them both in half and then I blue air through both and there is know different in the two, Is this a money scam ? I like the Eclipse Bleep because there is no head gear to get tangled in my long hair. The only problem I have is the adhesive starts to itch and I end up taking it off in the middle of the night. Moisture starts to get in between the adhesive and my skin. I use alcohol to remove the oils.

I have the ResMed air fit N30I, it’s OK, but I prefer the air connecting to the nose. So I purchased ResMed P10. I like it better because it’s a small mask. The only problem I have is the straps move around because I have long hair. I’ve tried everything to keep them in place.

I have Luna device instead Resmeid while it's good quality (the device itself) but it's too lonely over here. I mean in EVERYTHING people explain on OSCAR where I use (Resmart..) which is cheap alternative people Explain why Resmed EPR suck but I am Luna and companies have different EPR mechanisms which some better or worse. but no one talk about Luna

I get a good seal with the Airtouch N30i cushion for most of the night, but the seal is better on the silicone version. I find the surface of the cushion is comfortable, but I very badly need a size small. For some crazy reason, Resmed decided not to produce a small cushion for this mask. The medium is much too large for me and probably all others who need a small. I do like the fabric cover for the top of the mask, but you can get the same effect with removable covers sold on ETSY. The Airfit N30i without any extra covering pulls out my fine hair. Not good! I also use Dreamwear headgear for a more secure fit. Overall, I'm on the fence and still trying to decide if I prefer the Airtouch or the Airfit with removable covers.

Thank you SO MUCH for this video. The model I have is for the nasal pillow version. I was wondering why I couldn't get the mask to fit so that there was NO AIR blowing. The air was specifically blowing downwards towards my upper lip. (I'm trying out this mask after using ResMed AirFit's P10 mask.) After watching your video, I now understand it's the anatomy of my nose. The best thing about this mask - I'm a side sleeper - is how it stays in place. I don't have to keep adjusting my pillow. I will continue to use it for a week or so. However, I suspect that I'll return to the P10 since I hardly know it's on. It's so much quieter.

Cushion leaks real bad,and frame began to ravel after a week. Medium frame is too large and Medium cushion is too large.

It’s interesting to see such different reactions to every mask. The AirTouch N30i quickly became my mask of choice. For me it doesn’t leak as much or abrade the skin under my nose as much as the AirFit N30i, and I get a more reliable seal. I haven’t had any trouble cleaning it. Both versions are noisy, and I’m not a fan of the ResMed headgear/strap, because it slides too much, so I always swap in a Dreamwear head strap in the back. It’s helpful to me to see people’s objections though, as it keeps me from getting too evangelical about this mask.

Jason, I just love your videos. I don't understand some of the shade thrown your way on APAP vs CPAP on some sites, but you finally convinced me to go to CPAP and I'm liking it. Your analogy of opening the parachute after hitting the ground did it for me. I had great results prior, but I'm in my first week of CPAP and results are still very good. Where I was before is below, and I I changed it to CPAP 11.0 EPR =2. After a week I may try 12, and see what happens. But every night my AHI is below 1.0 and has been for over a year. Thank you. Last year you consulted with me when I was using APAP. You made various recommendation that lead me to BiLevel. And I learned how every variable comes into play, as you spoke of in this video. I have my issues well managed. But I know by just changing from my N20 to say my solo, I also have to reduce my pressure with the solo as it does not vent nearly as much as the N20. With the N20, Epap min is 9 and PS is 4. And my IPAP will vary just a few times at most, by small adjustments, as my flow limits produce very small storms a few times at night. Whereas with a solo, I have to reduce my Epap by 1 or 2 cm at most, else I start producing CAs. Short CAs without O2 drops, but CAs nonetheless.

I center the hose on the bed and the connector rotates GREAT! I use the F30i. I will NEVER go back to a nose drop! I use the connector pinch all the time, it lets me sit up because I use a shorter length of hose to get the connector to rotate. Once I am up I remove the mask via the magnets and it is SOOO easy and does not stretch the headband.

Your video is spot-on - using V-com with this mask causes so much noise on inhale & exhale. It might be just me, but it causes my brain to want to override my natural breathing and time it to what I'm hearing when I'm awake....I know that probably doesn't make sense, but I hate hearing it. No explanation WHY it makes that noise. Guess I need to look for a different mask, because the P10 I have causes my nostrils to hurt after a few hours. :(

I switched from the Solo nasal pillows to the Brevida (M-L) because I found the headgear wearing out and slipping on the Solo. I’m really liking the Brevida a lot more than I expected. I tried it with the S-M and that bothered me. The M-L works great and the headgear stays in place.

I’ve never been able to get a good seal with the air fit silicone edge. The airtouch seems to result in a better deal for a side sleeper.

Are they planning on an F40 mask version? The AirTouch F20 are great but the foam cushion is poorly executed.
