Perfect Fit with flow
The new office was designed with intention to reflect ResMed branding identity throughout the space. The design concept symbolically depict the ideology and values of ResMed- Innovative, Positive change & well connected.
Embracing organisational culture and approach on different ways of working, the new space reimagines ways of working as an “office of the future” that encourages movement and flexibility to meet the needs of each person, team or task.
Traartgroup aim to foster an environment teaming with youth, vitality and energy, and characteristic of “sensory flow” concept to the space.
Focusing on ResMed branding and human interactions, Traartgroup hope to promote integration, providing a place for work, socializing, and sharing of resources. Meanwhile, we also aim to create a light, stress-free atmosphere where employees can enjoy the balance of life and work.
We redefine the boundaries of space with an open design, solid barriers with various openings, allowing “flow” in the space.
Our design considered the connection between people and space, using the “sensory flow” concept. Our design efficiently separates space while carefully calculating the free flow of air and light through planned spaces. Human traffic is well managed without visual barriers.
With the mind set of creating a well flow circulation and zoning of the layout, Traartgroup planned and designed innovative and spaces which fosters diverse working methods and integration. This layout resulting modern workflow encouraging free interaction between people at different zone spaces such as the collaboration spaces, breakout areas and meeting rooms. An abundance of meeting and collaborative spaces, to suit working needs, moods and styles - were all priority requirements that determined spatial zoning.
We wanted to ensure that the new floor were democratically laid out, with balanced meeting rooms, shared access to natural light and one buzzing and multipurpose Stadium
“Stadium aka Town hall” is designed as an area where both employees and visitors can socialize and work informally at the same time.
On the right and left of the entrance area, there is a transition to the open office area with informal meeting/work areas. With its human centered design approach and the needs-oriented zoning, the new designed office provides a diverse work environment.
Informal work rooms are custom designed according to client’s needs. While fast and informal meetings can be held for 4-6 people in the open area, the closed part can be used as a phone booth/focus work area.
A central cafeteria was designed to serve all ResMedians and is also used as a quiet work or lunch space.
Collaborative and Creative Evolution
The openness of areas bring in welcoming daylight, views across and the surrounding improves work satisfaction and creativity. To cultivate creativity and productivity, a variety of spaces from formal and informal to small and private to large and open, allowing for future flexibility are created. The workplace was configured to support ResMedians with flexibility to work at any desire areas and opportunities for collaboration at the forefront. Hot desking support both focus work and small one-on-one meetings, while open discussion spaces promote team ideation and collaboration.
Designing for a Flexible Future
New office are designed with the investment into state-of-the-art technologies, which has allowed the teams to seamlessly continue client meetings in an almost business-as-usual fashion. In different rooms, ResMedians are able to hold virtual meetings or to work privately without any intervention.
ResMed teams are able to benefit from the designed and incorporated audio-visual and technology upgrades throughout all departments, from workstations, discussion spaces and conference rooms to open collaboration areas and breakout areas.
Wellness & Sustainability
Putting ResMedians and the environment at the heart of the design, the workplace provides users with appropriate light exposure, enhancing visual and biological needs. Green walls and a variety of potted plants help to purify the air and UV lights are implemented to eliminate virus and bacteria within the office. Dedicated area such as the gym and Stadium aka Town Hall where games are introduced help with the wellness of ResMedians and to reduce stress and boost productivity.
