It is 90 degrees from the origin

I still don't understand why you make F3 a +ve cos 90°. When f3 inclined at the origin at the vertical?

F3 is at the origin and pointing downwards. Assume it to be positive while getting horizontal component and of course it is totally negative when taking vertical component of force. Hope this helps.
