Thanks so much for this! BEST FREE RESOURCE on the tube. these are amazing and powerful warm ups! Question? when i start to go through these my first 20 min i have a lot of mucous on my vocal fold (apologies for yakkiness, but hey we're all singers here!) i feel like i have to spit it out here and there. is that normal? i've been exercising a lot more last few weeks and noticed this is happening. any advice from fellow singers would be appreciated!

The issue I'm having is switching between the closed hum you told us not to do and the resonant hum you want us to do. I can't figure out how to get that resonant hum in the first place so I feel like that's what the lesson should be about. Once you get it you can easily apply it to different pitches so I feel like this lesson is just doubling down on the easy part and missing the difficult transition. Anyone have any tips for how to find the more resonant hum? Like what muscles are being used to make the very obvious switch?

Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. I'm an experienced singer in a band and trying to improve my voice further. It's really helpful and I love that you also explain everything you're doing. I do have a question, and I hope you can answer this (or someone else who knows what I'm talking about). 4,5 Years ago I've had a vocal cord paralysis, and I've had surgery. Now my voice is strong again, but with this exercise I sound breathy. It feels like it's coming from my nose. Is this normal or is this because of some scarring?
