I think it's more like a strategy game not unlike the boardgame Risk. With city building elements to make the phases in between more enjoyable. If you were to make it into a full-scale city builder, it would require a different approach imo.

I think it would be great if in future bridges could be upgraded, a small wooden bridge would only allow 2 men beside each other to cross making it slower. A wider stone bridge would allow more to cross at one time. Rivers could also be used for combat, like many real life battles, you could push them back into the river to finish them off, although the AI doesn't really give up ground I think.

I don't expect anything from a single developer. I don't know why anyone bought it know it took him 6 years or something to just get this far. He'll never be able to finish it and people shouldn't even think about buying it who want an actual full game one day

@@henningr5323He has, he most likely isn’t solo anymore, but as he said himself, onboarding people with his same mindset and skills isn’t an easy thing and isn’t even fast. It’ll take time for this game to be finished and people should understand it. This is what a true “early access” game looks like, and we even have frequent updates on development. Community is even taken a lot in consideration for each and all updates, so i really don’t understand why people keep complaining. I’d say some deserve the ubisoft treatment.

@watermelon5521 That's the problem the game doesn't look good and it doesn't have the same big scale battles you see in other games. In other words it's extremely badly optimized.

Has anyone else had problems with the people not taking certain resources to the trader? I once bought a trading slot for bows and wanted to sell them. But not a single bow out of hundreds was taken to the trading building.

2.5 million in sales with 7k players isn’t healthy. But it’s in beta. When you get sales like they have, you have to make slow but strong investments in your company. It doesn’t feel like they’ve done that yet, to me it seems like nothing has changed but I guess the future will tell. Conservative companies fall off, and I personally don’t like them in any industry. I really hope they’re innovating and taking small but calculated risks in order to improve their ability to make great games, instead of ignoring the opportunity presented to them.

development too slow, walls and fortifications are still missing at this rate the game will be ready in 5 years, not even the workshop is working and it is absurdly repetitive, I don't think 2 maps will make a real difference.
