Resort Walking Tour at Marriott Barony Beach Club! Hilton Head Island, SC

Thank you for this video! Way to hit the highlights. I've stayed at the Westin which is right next door but have never had a chance to stay at the Barony Beach Club. I've always wanted to know what the Barony is like. It's great to have such an informative video to help make a decision. Looks great, definitely next on my list!

Thanks for watching. Barony is a great resort. I am not real big on the split design with a big portion of the rooms way back from the ocean and beach, but the oceanside and oceanfront villas have super easy access to the beach.

We would love to go to either, or in fact both, USVI properties in the future. A lot will depend on the current travel environment and any travel restrictions. When we do get the chance to go, it will likely be two weeks back to back with one at the Westin St John and another at the Marriott Frenchman's Cove. It may be a year or so before we get back on a plane to fly to a destination. Thanks for watching and I am happy you are finding the content helpful!

Does this resort have the beach "lockers" to store your beach gear (similar to those at Ocean Grand)?

I don't remember seeing them, but to be honest I don't remember seeing them at Grande Ocean either. I have seen them at Marriott's Surfwatch.

Would you recommend Barony or SurfWatch? We have a person in wheelchair, so we do like the zero entry pools at Barony...and both have walkways to beach. Thoughts?

My recommendation is Barony. Just be sure to not book garden view. The beach is closer at Barony and the resort is more compact. So getting around will be easier. I made a number of videos about both and we much preferred Barony over Surfwatch.

I agree with this. Barony by far is our favorite. We visit Hilton Head 2 times a year. Last year we were at Barony for a month. This year, we will be at Barony in November and the month at Monarch in December. Can’t go wrong with either resort. Enjoy!

Did that oceanside pool have a zero entry section like the first pool had?

In the summer they have a golf cart shuttle to take you from the garden view to the main pool.

It does run in the winter, just not as frequent. We picked it up a few times in December last year.

We liked Grande Ocean the best followed by Barony Beach Club. Though Monarch also had its charm.
