There’s less cheaters because the play base is so low, I played a match with a fuse and died than joined another match died immediately than the third match I got him as a teammate again and than the forth matched I killed him. Within 4 matches he was in 3 of my games

This same thing has happened to me before as well. I got the same teammate 3 matches in a row switched servers, and got him again in a different fucking server😭😂 Time of day really can impact your games as a solo queuer. If you play early hours of the morning (5:00 AM to 10:00 AM) you’ll get the same teammates over and over. Play late afternoon/evening time your queues will have much more variety for teammates but lobbies will be way sweatier then early morning queues so it’s like a double edged sword really.

Cheaters go where they have fun, and boosters who cheat go where the $$ is. If there's less people paying for boosts on Apex compared to other games they'll go elsewhere.

Honestly I think just removing support for a whole system is a pretty pathetic way to "stop cheaters", and it will only be a temp fix anyway. I think there needs to be some innovation in that area for several PVP games and needs to be done WITHOUT kernel level access because you simply should not need it. Valorant has Kernel level access and there are still cheaters being found, but yet I should feel ok with giving their software complete control over my entire system? Seems like a good idea to me.

As far as I know, Apex cheaters are very smart. They can detect who is watching them play, and then they will pretend to be normal players to prevent being reported. Therefore, the suspected players in this video are likely to be cheaters🤨

Apex has a built in feature that will (used to at least) show how many dead players in the lobby that are watching you. The server architecure still make the call for that statistic, it´s just that respawn prohibit the game client ( your game on screen) to show that statistic. I know from other videos cheat software override the game client to still render how many are watching your PoV after killing them.

I do agree that smurfing is cheating. It's more like a misdemeanor vs. a felony, which is what I would say aimbots and maphacks are. The amount of smurfing I have seen this season feels like an all time high though, as if they couldn't get the good stuff anymore so had to start getting the stuff they sell at gas stations.

I used dma to cheat last year. I knew everyone's rank, name, level, and authority (whether they can ban you) in a match. And I can see if someone is spectate me or not. So if I am playing against a big streamer I will just act like a normal person, if I see a level 30 diamond player I know he's cheating so I will avoid him

I just recently came back to Apex Legends for some Rank Games and I really think cheater issues have significantly been less than the seasons before. I'm a Taiwanese, I always play in Taiwan servers and Tokyo servers, My peek rank is Master in a couple of seasons and i just got Diamond yesterday after 4 days of grinding. I do really think cheater problems are way less in Asian low rank games but I still ran into couple aimbots and wallhacks in Diamond/Master lobbies. There's one more thing I want to point out, is that I heard some of my higher rank friends said "China Cheaters" loves to play in EU servers recently, but still can run into them in Asian servers. I also hope EA could ban the players from using VPN, especially VPN's from China.

I don’t know. I play about 5-8 hours a day in NA on xbox. I have well over a year of total play time. The cheating on console, specifically people using recoil suppression like chronos is insane right now. As most the crew have moved in now I’m stuck playing pubs with randoms and the servers with bots land and perform automate movements or people that solo drop and die and quit immediately. The hardest challenge in apex now days is to revive a team mate 20 times. Also you seem to disregard smurfing quickly. Respawn considers smurfing cheating. It’s really killed the community. Imagine being a younger kid or a new play trying to learn constantly running into Smurfs. They will be quitting within the first few hours. I’ve been playing g the game passionately for many years and can say without a doubt it’s in its toxic chapter, at least on console and in pubs. Glad you guys seem to be having fun still. I genuinely wish I could say the same.

As someone who plays semi-regularly in EU servers (only really reached to high plat), I've surprisingly only run into a handful of cheaters. The most amount I've seen were from pre-season/season 1 although I did take a long break for a few seasons). From what I think, people are overexaggerating the amount of cheaters they see. How often you see in replies saying that cheaters are everywhere and thousands of likes, even though cheaters are often high-rank in Apex, and most of these people are not. I think Apex has done better at curbing basic cheaters lately, but the ones that soft-cheat, or only target/are in high-ranked like master to pred. Like you've said, the more obvious cheaters are much, much less. They still exist, and people have actual evidence of being targeted. But I think, in general, I'm not surprised about the chart saying they've reduced cheaters by one-third.

The long name with a bunch of random numbers/characters happens when you have an auto generated Origins account name that you havent changed after crossplay. I usually play in Singapore server and I have to say that cheaters there is a lot in pubs and high plat lobby or above. 3:55 I actually think that mirage was cheating but turned off their cheats to be less sus to spectators & to the Anti-cheat. At 4:00 they were staring into a wall, possibly turning off aimbot &/or recoil control. From what little I can see from the clip Mirage did not had good game sense & Aim was mediocore. How did they get 16 kills with such aim? Even of that Mirage is innocent from Cheating, cheaters can see if someone is spectating them & they might have turned them off when you spectated them, especially as you're content creators. Cheaters also will throw games to throw off the anti-cheat. I recall a few seasons ago their were a lot of cheaters who refused to fight against pros in ranked in hope of avoiding a ban. Also, while Aimbot is obvious I think a lot of cheaters are using wall hacks to gain positional knowledge. Unless they make the Wall-hacks obvious it can be really hard to detect them.

I dont for one second believe that 33% of cheaters were on linux. At a push, maybe it was easier to set up bots to farm exp on linux. But consider if you were a player who wanted to cheat. If you have to pay for a cheat which also requires you to install an entire new operating system to use it, you're gonna go find a different cheat. I think it's more likely that they counted the emulation layers (wine, proton etc) that people used to actually play the game as cheats since they theoretically spoofed the anti-cheat, so pretty much all linux players were counted as cheating even if they weren't. Also, they dont know how many cheaters there are. They know how many cheaters they've found. Which is a pretty big difference.

The cheaters are all still on console and cheat by using the cronus zen and strike packs to remove recoil. The zen gives zero recoil and makes aim assist super sticky dont even have to touch the stick for aim to follow players. And BTW smurfing is CHEATING.

I play on Singapore server, actually this season have less cheater than before, but yesterday i play pubs with my friend and we won with 0 damage 0 kill, because 2 cheaters got banned, we win on ring 1, the ring not full closing, i remember its 43 sec ring closing

I play in NA servers and i play in the mornings and night, and i definitely think theres a difference in cheaters "after hours". This season ive been killed by and spectated at least 2 confirmed cheaters with laserbeamingly accurate aim and maybe a handful of other sus ones but most seem to be walling and not using excessive crazy cheats anymore.

Sine the recent plunge, do you think EA finally will give Respawn the love they deserve. I really want this game to live. Even multiversus. I seriously feel bad about what happened to KTJL and what it could have been. No game deserves too die out.

This is what I was thinking this season as well. (Playing in diamond, so there're some good people, but not to the point that I would thought that they're cheating. They were good not only at shooting, but at moving as well

@dripdem0n I've been playing apex since it first was dropped. I've been through its ups and downs, but this game has really hit rock bottom the last few seasons. They have to step up their game in order to save it.

I've playing a ton of ranked with diamond master preds and I don't think I've seen any cheaters, just a ton of top preds. Also that Maggie was for sure aimbotting
