At the start of the video, the equation is incorrect.--should be PaCO2 = VCO2/VA x 863. It is later corrected. Also the number 863 only applies if VCO2 and VA are in the same units, such as ml/min of L/min. If VCO2 is expressed as ml/min and VA is L/min (quite common), then you must use 0.863

Thank you for the video! I'm a little confused by the first equation, it appears incorrect. Based on the video, shouldn't it be PaCo2 = 863 X VCo2 / VA? ( The VCo2 and VA should have dots above to explain they're multiplied by the RR). Please help clarify, your videos have been astounding, thank you again

No you just need to take deep breaths in and out while your heart rate is up. You dont need a formula, you need to physically add your inspiratory and expiratory reserve volume. This is best learnt physically.

Yes you did have the equation written wrong in the begging. The 863 is not the right number. It should be .863 it's makes the equations easier and simpler
