These classes are outstanding. I watch them when I am on the treadmill. The manner of presentation keeps them interesting and I continue to learn so much. Firefighter/EMT Basic, I challenged the Paramedic course a year and a half ago already. The main instructor didn't even open a book, but death by power point, we never saw eye to eye, we butted heads, needless to say since I couldn't keep up with his rambling of reading power points for 4 hours, he tried everything to fail me. Until I dropped out, because no matter how well I was doing he was failing me. So I when to the top brass, and had a lengthy letter, this guy has now moved on to what I hear is UCLA. So I just came across your videos, and holy crap, you hit the nail on the head of how class goes, and books, and oh and do these practice tests. Not even half of our class passed there test at the end, I think only 4 out of 15 actually got there Paramedic, and this place claims a 96% pass rate every year. ha. smoke and mirrors. The other crap people say to me is, I'm to old, or your old and slow, this is a young persons game. I am wanting to take the course again but at a different school, that is less expensive, but I'm still paying on the last one. I will be checking out more of your stuff, and hopefully at the end of the week I can get signed up for the study materials for a future class.

I've had "Cough varient asthma" most of my life. It's triggered by allergies, or sore throat/runny nose or temperature changes. I get dry, non-productive cough. It almost never leads to noticeable constriction - but I do get some wheezing. The standard rescue inhaler (albuterol) doesn't really do anything for me, although I get a prescription for it. What helps is beclomethasone also known as Qvar. It is a mild steroid, and I think it works by making my lungs less sensitive. I take it for 2 weeks to relieve coughing, then I continue a lighter dose until "I feel like the trigger might have gone away", then I try going off of it. If the coughing comes back, I start back up the full dose. I visited several doctors over 20 years before I had a diagnosis of Asthma. It was another 10 before I found a specialist (Northwest Allergy and Asthma clinic) that finally figured out what was going on. I bring up my story to point out that Asthma can be a very unique disease for each person that has it - and can present very differently.

Difficulty breathing - “watch out for their heart” I think.. the heart is the organ that perfuses blood if that goes, the rest doesn’t matter. Difficulty breathing indicates possibly low sp02. Accessory muscle use / low sp02 / JVD / LOC would indicate severity.. if unconscious this is very severe.. we must get an idea of the severity decreased 02/co2 gas perfusion within the system... first assess ABC airway breathing circulation, then skin and assess if we are stable or unstable. Following along still only 5:48 in 🤙🏼

I want to purchase your online video study course but am tight with money at the moment. Will you have a Black Friday sale? Thank you! Your videos help so much and I look forward to signing up to the online course!
@TheParamedicCoach3 жыл бұрын
Hey my friend, thanks for watching! It's unfair to all my members to have any sales on my course, so for that reason, I don't believe in "sales or discounts." My friend, what I can tell you is the textbooks that you bought for class cost more than the lifetime access to the video course, the fee to just sit for National Registry Exam costs more than the video course. School itself of course is more expensive than the video course. I have priced the course at $49.97 for lifetime access (one-time fee) for access to all 180+ videos so that way every single student no matter the situation can get it, as I know the clarity these videos provide. If you can having "breakthroughs" from the KZbin Content, the video course will provide even deeper understanding and prepare you for finals/registry. Keep rocking it and be sure to join the prep course here, look forward to you being one of my online students: www.prepareforems.com
