@@NinjaNerdOfficial Hey. Great video. I have a question. If the air keeps flowing out, how will it equalize with the atmospheric pressure when the volume keeps decreasing so the pressure should keep increasing
@meshalalghamdi87044 жыл бұрын
tolu falaye diaphragm and thoracic cavity will increase so the volume and the pressure will decrease then the air will be flown inside ur lungs and thats due to the elasticity of the lung. If the volume keeps decreasing the elasticity will increase cause they r inversely proportional to each other.

Really excellent. One thing I want to be clear about. You said when chest wall is expanding during inspiration it is talking away parietal pleura away from the visceral pleura. But while explaining expiration process you said when lungs are contracting due to elasticity it is also pulling visceral pleura along with it because both parietal pleura and visceral pleura are almost adhered. So it was little bit confusing for me. One more point. During the process of inspiration you said (though only one single time) that intrapleural pressure is --4 mmHg as compared to atmospheric pressure. During this explanation you once said that we substract atmospheric pressure from intrapleural pressure I.e. 756-760 which results in --4mmHg. Little confusing for me. But what a great teacher you are. I am a great fan of you.
