Respite

Two people sat around a campfire. One was armed with a sword, the other with a knife and bow. They weren’t quite friends, and “acquaintances” wasn’t exactly an accurate term, either. When they had first met, they had fought, but when a monster had interfered with their battle, they cooperated with each other to take it down. Saved each others’ lives, so to speak. Whilst they were at a sort of “truce”, they were both very wary of each other. You couldn’t trust anyone, especially in the afterlife. The one with the bow suddenly spoke up. “So, what’s your name?” The swordswoman blinked. _”None of us have names. We don’t even have a single recollection of who we were.”_ The other girl rolled her eyes. “I know that, I meant the name other people call you. Or did you come up with one yourself?” _”…Speedster, I guess. That’s what people call me.”_ “That so? I can’t deny that it fits.” _”Right.”_ There was a moment of silence. “Not even gonna ask for my name? Rude.” Speedster gave the other girl a blank look. _”Is that something I’m supposed to do?”_ “Oh, so you’re one of those socially awkward people, hm? I get it now.” The speedster scowled in response, but the other girl acted as if she hadn’t seen it. “I’m Archie, by the way.” She extended a hand towards the speedster, who eyed it warily. Archie rolled her eyes again. “As if I’d kill you after saving your life. You really have some major trust issues, huh?” _”I’ve been betrayed before.”_ “But you’re still here, aren’t you? You could probably crush me like a bug.” _”Don’t play weak. I saw you fight.”_ Archie dropped her hand with a slight pout. “Even bluffing doesn’t work on you? You’re no fun.” _”Get used to it.”_ Now it was Archie’s turn to scowl. There was another short silence, before Speedster broke it. _”Say, isn’t Archie a masculine name?”_ “So?” _”…Aren’t you a girl?”_ “Yeah, so what?” _”…Nevermind. It’s not that important.”_ “Whatever. Let's just get some sleep.” nice and calm song. very nice

@@timothykurdt7645 there isn’t really any chronological order yet, i’ve kind of just been throwing random parts as i go on, and decided to leave it to the readers to come up with what comes first themselves. i’ve written like, five(?) comments about this story in total (i think)

From the moment I started listening to these songs, I knew that there was something that, beyond a simple melody, was fiercely gripping my soul. Feelings like nostalgia, sadness, happiness, adrenaline, you could even say that it generates an "Extasis" of mental dissonance for so many feelings together.
