I wanted to do my video before watching anyone else's including Sams, I didn't want to be influenced in any way.

Steve earl was my number one pick for my favorite americana artist, But like you said that's a hard one. James mcmurtry is great, Had the pleasure to interview him a few times.

Hello Harry, I've been enjoying your videos. I watch using headphones and I've noticed that starting about a month and a half ago your audio is only coming out of the left side. David Rawlings and Old Crow, wow! I know he helped produce those first couple of records for them. Great story to boot as well! Weathervanes, what a great record, even better to see those songs live. Randall Nelson also chose that version of I Will, and he almost said what you said word for word. It's a shame that Isbell and JTE had a falling out, I know that the Earle family had a beef with Jason having that tribute to Justin on Weathervanes. Townes would have been a great artist to see live. Amanda Shires, one of my musical crushes. Wow! So cool that Amanda played a show for you. Thanks for doing this Harry, you were perfect for it!

I enjoy seeing other people jumping on Sam's tag. I got into Americana in the late 80's and have continued to see it as one of my favorite genres. Lucinda Williams is the female artist for which I have the most records. I've heard of the Secret Sisters and Mary Gauthier but have never listened to any of their music. I liked you Dave Rawlins story. We had several matches. Great Joe Ely pick. I forgot about The Flatlanders which is a wonderful pick. The More A Legend album is one of my all-time favorites. I like all of your lesser-known Americana artists. Wow, a house concert with Amanda Shires. We have a lot of similar tastes.

Hello Harry. Good call on Mary Gauthtier, she is a wonderful songwriter and performer. Interestingly, she released a split single with Sam Baker, who I showed in my video. I love Whiskeytown, especially their first album. Unfortunately I find it difficult to listen to them after Ryan Adams turned out to be a user and groomer. Ha! I very nearly showed the Flatlanders album, but then I decided not to show older records. I've got a couple of albums by The Gourds, but I didn't know about Shinyribs, I'll have to check them out. Pet Peeve, ....it's GRAM Parsons, not Graham. GRAM as in Ingram. He's one of yours, surely you and Mazzy should know! Or is it done on purpose to wind up pedant people like me? Great video otherwise. Love and peace from across the pond.
