Mayhemic Destruction the song was so far advanced for its time. I often mention on metal pages that this song was in the style of Black/death before these genres really existed. I remember owning the cassette tape and worshiped it as child 👍💪
@mendicantmedia11 күн бұрын
yeah it's noticably heavier than the rest of the album - maybe a bit of their friends Slaughter Lord rubbing off on them

One of my grails for the year was " Mortal Sin - Mayhemic Destruction ", I finally found a copy in 2024. And yes the 2nd cover Bisley art is the cover to have!. Love Simons work on " The Horned God ", still leaves me in awe. Great Tag Mate!.

I still have my copy of Stranger in a Strange Land from when it was released .I used to pick up all their 12" singles when they came out, mainly for the B sides. Enjoyed the vid, even though must of the bands are way out of my metal zone.

That Setherial Nord album is the best black metal album of all time! Love it ! I have Gutalax on vinyl, fun band with burpy vocals. Autopsy rule , and agree that reissue cover is far better than the original - dunno why it was banned cause it's shite ! I have the original cd of Incubus - bloody classic. Live after death is probably the best live album of all time - I love 80s Maiden, not fussed on the later stuff even though I own it all. Epidemic of violence is just a fucking banger - own it on all 3 formats. Necrophobic are awesome- always reliable. I do like Mortal Sin, got em all on cd- Every dog I have twice as got it under the Rebellious title with different cover. Immolation and Regurgitate are ace - that cover always makes me laugh
@mendicantmedia11 күн бұрын
I still feel a bit stupid that I missed out on Setherial all these years but better late than never I suppose. Ha you have more Mortal Sin than I do as I never did get anything beyond Face of Despair. They were actually the first band I ever saw live as they were the support to Metallica on the Justice tour. Not a bad first show!

My first ever taste of metal if you wanna call it metal was KISS back in the late 70s when Countdown was showin KISS all most all the time and all ways pissed me dad off because Countdown was on the same time as the NEWS and my full metal love was Iron Maiden Seventh Son of a Seventh Son back in 1989 or 1990 and i remember hearing Black Sabbath and it didn't click until around Kill 'Em All came out i started to love Black Sabbath..
@mendicantmedia12 күн бұрын
yeah me too I remember loving I Was Made For Loving You even though it's more disco than metal :) I also think it was Countdown (and probably not Rage) where I fell in love with the Purple song Black Night. I don't remember ever seeing that old B&W Sabbath clip for Paranoid until many years later. I mostly got into Sabbath due to Anthrax's cover on I'm Then Man which was an early purchase for me. Was very happy when I finally got their albums though
