If you ask me, this is the greatest version of Mickey Mouse out there. These shorts had si much goofy antics, a great artstyle, and plenty of callbacks to old Disney characters. I'm sad to see the series go, but at least it ended on a wonderful note.

I loved these shorts so much. They heavily reminded me of the original Mickey Mouse shorts from the 1920's, 30's, and 40's. That was literally who Mickey Mouse was in his inception for over 30 years. It was amazing to see him return after so long.

Aww, seriously? That's a shame because this was probably one of the better modern-day iterations of Mickey Mouse I've ever seen. He was a combination of old and new aesthetics, he could have really funny situations, you could tell the creative teams KNEW who he and the characters were and they reminded us you could love him as a icon in animated media, not keep seeing him as the corporation's mascot. That's pretty commendable on the creative teams' behalf and not always easy to master. My ears off to these people for capturing Mickey's GENERATIONAL appeal, because in this day and age, and even from the company's current behavior on certain projects, that amount of effort should NOT go underappreciated. 👌❤

Mickey in these stories felt like a character, not just a coporate mascot or some face slapped onto a product. He felt alive again in a way he hasn't been in years. I know all things come to an end, and I'm honestly glad Disney isn't dragging it out to the point I look up one day and go 'ugh, is this still going on?' in much the same way The Simpsons feels these days. But it's still sad to see an end to this version of Mickey. Disney better think hard about what to do with the character next.

Which ones? There has been alot of various comics about the fab 5/6 over the years. One I recall enjoying was called "Wizards of Mickey" made in Italy (where alot of interesting experimental Disney comics of various characters are made). In that comic series a team of 3 magic users had a giant Battle Royale tournament. The Phantom Blot was the primary villain at first then later a Dark Mickey became an antagonist.

This version of Mickey Mouse holds a special place in my heart. I remember watching the Shorts in the 2010's. And after 1 or 2 of them, I was hooked. The charm, the animation, the voice actors, and the unexpected humor is what made this Mickey one of my favorites. Mickey is written just like his old schoolself. Silly, clumsy, brave, kindhearted, and filled with good intentions, but is just like us. Imperfect. Inhuman. An actual character with flaws, rather than a lifeless mascot from a corporative company. Not only Mickey, but all of his friends too. Goofy felt like Patrick from the Golden Age of Spongebob, Minnie was given a backbone but still loved Mickey and Daisy was sassy. And Pluto was your run of the mill "Cartoon Dog". And Donald.... Was Donald.... Some characters didn't need change, as he was already good in Clubhouse, to be honest... They even gave Pete his old persona, Peg Leg Pete, which is what I love about the Shorts. They embraced the classics, and gave new generations fresh new stories, along with Once the Shorts came, I dropped Mickey Mouse Clubhouse like piece of garbage and picked up the "New" Mickey at that time. Time went by... Time....Time began to creep up on us. We didn't think time would take him away... And it's understandable. This Mickey lived a long and incredible lifespan, and I'm glad it went with me through all my Elementary years to High School. Farewell, Mickey Mouse Shorts. You will be missed. But your legacy will still live on....

The last time Disney did something similar to this before the New Mickey Mouse shorts I think it was with "Mickey Mouse Works" and "House of Mouse". I loved "House of Mouse" as a kid (and by extent, "Mouse Works", even though I didn't catch that iteration). It was my favorite series from my childhood. The New Mickey Mouse shorts felt like a revival of the Mouse Works shorts, but with more physical comedy and more surreal. I didn't hate if for being different. I loved it! Thank you, Paul Rudish and his crew, for 10 Wonderful Years of Mickey Mouse. :')

The nostalga factor. The innuendo it threw at us for adult viewrs. The slapstick comedy, silly antics, and sometimes too real and hopefully you kingdom hearts fans saw mickeys keyblade in spring cleaning episode. That was just like the cherry on top. They covered every form of mickey in theese shorts. Even covered around the world and had the native language. Paul Ruddish really cared to show us a real mickey and not just a smiling character. I absolutely disagree that this was the first time Mickey was given an actual personality. His personality was what made him so popular in the first place. It certainly helped bring his personality back though! It had been missing for a LONG time, besides Epic Mickey that is Old Mickey was mischievous, always biting off more than he could chew or slacking off, and then getting his butt kicked for it. He could show a WIDE range of emotion, calling him one note would be ridiculous. He had so much heart and was such an endearing character that it’s a little hard to describe. I really love Mickey and I hope people start doing him more justice to undo all the damage corporate Disney has done to his image…

Aside from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, this generation of Mickey Mouse was a major source of my childhood enjoyment. I always loved putting these shorts on and just reveling in what I got. While I haven’t been into his newer episodes yet, it’s so sad to see this persona of Mickey leave forever. I was addicted to the animation style, the characters, the shenanigans that happened, and the sheer creativity that was shown in them. I loved this era of that mouse, and this last short really feels like the appropriate way to send him off... Sayonara, you damn mouse. May your days in abundant creativity and happiness be many, and your hours in soulless degeneracy and capitalism be few. Rest In Peace, king 😭😖😭.
