Rest is a COMMAND, not a suggestion | On Water Podcast Ep. 14

"Be still, and know that I am God." Psalm 46:10. How often do we take the opportunity to be still? How many of us prioritize being still and contemplating who God is? As we live in our busy societies, we get lost in the desire to be productive which takes away from our need for rest.
In rest, we are able to sit with the truths of who God is and participate in the joy of appreciating His creation. Rest and sabbath is a crucial part of who we are and how we were called to live our lives. However, we won't really prioritize it if we don't know what true rest is. In this episode we dive into the necessity of rest and why God made it a commandment, rather than a suggestion.

I'm so glad you're talking about this. I have this same issue--there's a constant need to feel like I need to do SOMETHING. Especially when it comes to ministry because I feel like if I'm not "pushing through" enough, then I'm not really giving my all for the Lord.
