Restarting My YuGiOh Journey (#1)

I just got back recently playing Yugioh again (Master Duel). it's a real day and night experience so far for me since the game has changed since I last played (Eternal Duelist Soul was the last Yugioh game I played). TCG I stopped playing mid way through Battle City of the anime so the only rules I'm aware and understand are those rules. Learning about XYZ and links is quite an interesting thing with how the game is played now. Seems all too broken for me, but I am slowly collecting certain Yugioh TCG cards since I don't want boxes of Yugioh cards collecting dust (I still have the original starter deck Yugi Dark Magician, and its was graded PSA 10 since I never played with it since I had two of Yugi's starter decks). It'll be a fun nostalgic journey trip for me collecting wise, but it'll be worth it.

Dude, I play Zombies too but my style gears towards a "Necromancy" type build and not only control a board but also break it and go hard for the kill when I have the opening and my favorite card has the concept of making allies from my fallen enemies and that being the Doomkaiser Dragon. Sure, it isn't much but in my hands or the hands of someone who knows what they are doing it can be devastating because of the prospect of being able to chain multiple attacks in a battle phase because it can revive a Zombie monster from the opponent's graveyard upon resolution of its summon. And Zombie World really makes it shine. There is so much I can go on about but Zombies are a true skill based deck through it's technicality and precision plays despite it seeming it is a simple aggro deck. I can be simply an aggro deck but that is no fun at all. Zombies has been the deck I have always loved and always been in sync since the Zombie Madness Structure Deck which is when I really started to be able to start diving into yugioh even though I was playing for a few years before that with a deck that had no focus or strategy.

Would reccomend runnung ghost fusion with ghost sleeper and changshi to banish from deck as material to make dragonecro wich you can use with something like a ringowurm or plague zombie to go for dis pater Changshi is then gonna special back and give u another send for a zombie. Sprind is also op cus u can make it with retainer an something like familiar and send mad maugler witch can make u a omega witch is strong with dis pater. Immortal dragon is also a must play.

I think Yu Gi Oh will improve 100% if they only allow 1 deck search Special Summon, 2 Syncho summon, 1 xyz, 1 Pendelum, per turn. Something to limit a solitaire play style.

Hey @xeyo I know vampire lord hella old but would he maybe help you? If he get destroyed by card effect he always return and then we got zombie pyrimid something like that how ever it called, which is a flooder can get you some monsters out too

It won't help at all since you need to tribute summon him, his atk is too low and dies in battle phrase(doesn't get resurrected). Also, there's cards that straight up send it to the graveyard, return it back to hand, banish, among other card effects. Even if in theory, he gets to special summon himself back every time, his low atk of 2000 is nothing in modern YGO. His effect to send monster, trap or spell to the graveyard will actually help your opponent. In modern YGO, there are many cards that wishes to be send to the graveyard like; A LOT of them.
