Today, I'm sharing my favorite Chana Masala recipe. This dish is perfect for a cozy dinner with family. Whether you're using an Instant Pot or stovetop, this authentic recipe will give you all the flavors of traditional Indian cuisine.
Here's what you'll need:
For Paste:
🍲 2 tsp Oil
🍲 1 tsp Jeera
🍲 1/2 tsp Hing
🍲 3 Onions (chopped)
🍲 1 inch Ginger (chopped)
🍲 8-9 cloves of Garlic
🍲 4-5 Green Chillies
🍲 Salt
🍲 5 Tomatoes (chopped)
🍲 1 tsp Haldi
For Chana Masala:
🍲 1 tsp Oil
🍲 2 tsp Dhaniya Powder
🍲 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
🍲 1 tsp Roasted Jeera Powder
🍲 1 tsp Garam Masala
🍲 1 1/2 tsp Chana Masala
🍲 Coriander Leaves (for garnishing)
Note: To prepare boiled chana, soak the chana overnight (or 6-7 hrs) and then add salt and haldi powder and pressure cook for 20 mins (1 whistle on high, then simmer on low flame for 20 mins).
