Not just that, the owners has done so much for the local Greek community. The last time I check before the pandemic, they still had Greek parties like this one in this episode, but not in the middle of service & not inside the restaurant. The son still do the tabble biting dance.

I took it the same way Ramsey did.. that he wanted something better and easier than the life they led. Aris even went so far as to say that he saw how they were killing themselves to make a living with the restaurant and that he didn't want that for himself. But in the end, Aris ended up not being able to make anything of himself and came crawling back. I think the dad knew this and that's why he didn't want to show Aris anything.. that Aris was only there because he hit rock bottom career wise and was going to settle for the same life as his dad. And dear old dad was holding on to that animosity which affected his cooking and the restaurant in general. I'm glad Aris and his dad worked it out and they became successful.

A great example of a Kitchen Nightmares success. over 12 years later they are still going strong! I know people give Kitchen Nightmares flak for the "high eventual failure rate" associated with the restaurants featured. However, what the Kitchen Nightmares experience seems to have done is bring those restaurants back up to a "normal" failure rate for restaurants in general. I say that is a phenomenal success, given that the establishments in question were all set on a course to guaranteed closure before Gordon arrived! He couldn't save every one of them, but he sure did save some of them, like The Greek!

You can tell Aris has the drive and it means so much to him to prove to everybody and himself that he can make something out of himself at the restaurant he calls home.

It's wild how people in the restaurant industry who own their own business can lose sight until its too late. You'd think there would be a bit of a wake up call when business tanks or slows down. It's definitely on the owners/mangers to change aspects of the business before it tailspin into oblivion.

The Italian family to see the son in action is amazing. He's the first one I've seen in Gordon Ramsay show expertise quicker and excellent. Well done.

i love it when the owner is super happy i mean, those episodes with sourpuss owners who complain after the transformation are probably not many peoples' favorites.

Why do these people ask for Ramsay's help, but then resist him at every turn? So often it's the owner who is resistant to change but his chefs have it in the bag, if they would just listen,
@udasai
@udasai 2 ай бұрын
If they weren't resistant to the changes that needed to be made, they would have made them already. As owners, they feel no obligation to listen to their minions, and only obligation will force them to change their mind. Most places mismanaged like these, that obligation will be the landlord locking the door and their houses being collected by the bank. So ultimately, Gordon is just an intermediary between the banks, landlords, and idiots in a trance.
