Hi Craig, I'm the person who asked about magic shows in London and you recommended the Magic Circle. I just wanted to say thank you for the recommendation! The Saturday show with Taylor Morgan was fantastic and Fay Presto performed 30 minutes of close-up magic before the show. I really enjoyed it!

Craig! Love your videos. Love your channel. You inspired me last October to go out and get some gigs. Fast forward a year, I’ve been doing a show every couple weeks! My question is when will you and Ryland be back at P3 for a show?

Hey Craig, great video! I wanted to start by thanking you and your channel for inspiring me to get back into magic. I truly has changed my life for the best. I have recently started a KZbin channel dedicated to magic. It's more just a small thing and a good way of forcing me to practice and improve in new forms. For now it has just been a showcase of tricks, but keeping up consistent content this way is getting difficult - which leads to my question. Do you think there is a way to film/showcase practicing magic without going full exposure? Or, if this is unavoidable, is it a bad idea to show magic practice? I feel it would be a great peek into the time and effort that magic requires, but don't see a way of presenting it without excessive exposure. Thanks for all you do, keep up the good work!

Hi Craig. Thanks for the continued great content, it's always playing at my house. My question is, what advice and insights do you have for someone seeking to release their first original effect? In my case, I have completed an ebook around 30 pages long, which thoroughly explains all aspects of a single, very hard-hitting and unique mentalism effect. I'm questioning the pros and cons of pitching to release through a major dealer, versus releasing it on my own website. The pro of releasing it on my website is that I get to keep 100% of profits, the con is that I would need to do more work to find buyers. The pro of releasing through a major dealer is placement in front of a magic-buying audience, while the con is that they take some of your earnings (I've also heard that unknown names can face challenges on Penguin and other major dealers). Would really like to know your advice and insights, thanks again Craig.

I don't perform much anymore but I've had an idea for a while that I'd like to try someday or see done by someone else and just curious what your thoughts or suggestions would be. Basically, I realized the effect of the color changing deck is basically the reverse of Chicago opener. So what if you opened a set with Chicago, do coins or something for the middle and then close by switching decks for the color changing deck. So instead of their card changing, every one changes BUT theirs and then their card changes too. It seems these two would fit together really well. Tried to keep it as short as possible. Thanks for the awesome content.

Hey Craig! On the last podcast episode, you talked about your gaff deck being done, my question is can you say which deck of cards you are using? Bicycles or something else?

Hi Craig, I’ve just started making flap cards and was wondering if there are any card tricks or Routines that use flap cards ? Do you know of any where to look, I don’t want to just use a flap card to change without using it in a routine or trick. I think it would be more powerful if used within a trick rather than just holding one card and making it change hope that makes sense. Keep up with the great work on the channel Thanks

I have a second question, I bought E2 at Blackpool but find it very tight to push a card in or to remove the card out when you go for the steel, I recently bought a second E2 and found it loads better and really easy to install a card in the deck and remove, is there any way I can make my first E2 I purchased easier to use ? I did buy my second one for a future back up, cheers

Hey Craig, it's been a few weeks since I've asked a question, but i got one. I love performing minibook pro, especially when i put it in their hands. I can usually get away with it, but do you have any tips on how to avoid them realizing the computer changed without them noticing. Thanks

Hey Craig, great video as always. Thank you for sharing this content. Two questions: 1. I've come across a couple of folks who think that stage illusions entirely use gimmicks/apparatus to perform the effect. I told them that this is not always true and there are stage illusions that use less or don't use any apparatuses. My question is, how do you deal with spectators who come to such false solutions/method guesses? I think this ruins the magic experience. 2. You mentioned in a previous rant video of yours around elitism that "not everybody can be a magician, but everyone should be given the opportunity to learn". I was particularly interested in the statement "not everybody can be a magician. " Can you please elaborate on what you meant by that?

Great review! For next week: do you know of any lesser known/under appreciated card/coin magic books that contain mind-blowing magic and probably should have gotten more attention than they got but remain hidden gems? (I know, hard question...)

Hello Craig! I have a few questions. I am wondering if you still perform the tricks you nominate for the best trick of the year, or do you slowly phase them out and perform the latest tricks instead. For example, hard strech. Also, what do you think about performing tenyo tricks, which are very toy-like, in the real world? Finally, you mentioned a trick called "I-strech" coming out through alakazam. Could you give us some more information on what it is and when it is releasing? Thanks.

Hey Craig great show as always. It was funny you mentioned Jon Allen's Spectators Don't Exist dvd where he explained how to make a destination box as like yourself that's what i did, i've never upgraded my box as i actually prefer my own. Anyway on to my question... I've never performed cube magic which i know you do cube magic really well and wondered if you had considered adding some of your cube work and routining on the netrix ?

What’s your opinion in putting in sob stories into bgt acts even if they are true. I’m auditioning and in that I’m going to subtlety mention that I was bullied as a kid and that my grandma died of a heart attack, I’m liking the grandma thing to that’s she gave me this deck of cards as a last gift, which is true. Do you think mentioning things like that would help me for that show or is juts silly and unnecessary. Not saying he was underdeserving of it at all but I feel like Marc spelman got a golden buzzer because his wife had cancer showing that maybe things like that help on the show
@JacksonAcesMagician
@JacksonAcesMagician 2 ай бұрын
Marc was 6yrs ago now. Sob stories have been overdone and you may notice the show includes them less and less. It has become cliche and ratings started to drop so now they mostly show more inspiring stories like of how hard the contestant has worked and how much they’ve sacrificed to get as good as they are.
