RMP of neurons is -70mv That is 1 coulumb charge of particles inside the cell have 70milli joules less energy than 1 coulumb charge of particles outside.. For normal and muscle cells it is -90mv For pacemakers it is always fluctuationg and very less difference of -40 to -60mv

sir one question here : as potassium enters the cell so it should increase the positive charge . i know sodium is expelled out..but 2 positive potassium ions are still inside the cell . so should these K ions neutralize the negative charge of cell ?

I mean the Mechanism sir, here we operate the stimulating electrode, what causes stimulus artifact to appear on the recording one?!
