Wow we got David Cameron to thank for Liz Truss? Another great one Dave, to f the country over with...

Johnson's a classic bully, with his gang who hang around him and intimidate others. Truss does not have the courage to repudiate his legacy as as a result.

The Conservatives made the biggest mistake when they elected Johnson and not Rory as Prime Minister.
@kerryfry18572 жыл бұрын
Being a modern conservative is a mistake. For this country that is. May as well have the BNP in charge. When you surround yourself in flags, you have no substance. You're appealing to the num-nuts. Britain isn't the 70's now, it's moved on. Rory is a decent man. But the conservatives, are not going allow a moderate as leader. Because, the divide between the rich and poor. Is so big, they need divisive politics. To remain in power.

Do agree but he may of had the threasa may problem not enough support to get brexit done in whatever form it maybe. Even with the 2019 election not sure purging new candidates of the maddest brexit support would have made enough difference to that. He still was a remainer trying to do brexit. Don't think the public would have supported him and given him an 80 seat majority. However I do belive he would be much better at the job trust in politics higher and his 2019 manfestio mostly/partly delivered on through covid

I'm all in favour of 50% plus support of the total electorate (those on register and qualified to vote) being needed for referendums to pass. We can cancel leave on that basis, too; I imagine,actually, that more people are now still alive who voted to stay than who voted to leave. The Tories want democratic processes when they're in their favour, or simply suit them, but not when it's likely to disadvantage them. Just what we need, a PM who ignores advice and a Chancellor who doesn't believe in expertise. They both believe that their prejudices are somehow true in a way other opinions aren't. Well, I've got new for them: decisions made on "conviction" have led us into some very dark places. Usually with the Tories in charge, the people whose party is founded in part on a theory that prejudices are more reliable than principled arguments. With the current lot, prejudice has morphed into dogma. This is because the traditional and conservative assumptions that acted to ground and limit these prejudices have been replaced by a neo-liberal ideology mixed up with what should be called Hayekism - a sort of thinly-conceived inversion of Marxism, with little in it that gives guidance on how to prevent material inequality leading to the dominance of politics by plutocratic oligarchs.

When people see more of Truss, and too many take no interest in politics at all, they will dislike her.

Australia has had six prime ministers in nine years. So the UK's four PMs in six years is on par with the Aussies. Is this some conspiracy to maximise the number of people who get lucrative government pensions?

Imagine following failed trickle down economics again after 12 years, and 4 PM's in 6 years. Imagine energy prices so high that booking a 4 month winter break flight and renting a property in India/Africa is cheaper than staying in your own country. Imagine a country where 10% of households are about to pull the trigger on an open fire rather than gas to heat your home. Enter stage left Liz Truss. 😂🤣😅

yeah homophobia can be weird I always use by grandad as an example will say stuff and use words that can be offensive but when it comes to LGBTQ+ people but is totaly devoted to "I don't care its not my life and it doesn't affect me" like with trans people he does not get it at all but at the same time truely doesn't care like its really impressive the level to which he doesn't care that somone is queer
@spacechannelfiver2 жыл бұрын
@@imperialphoenix9195 this is the thing, most people don't care; not in a bad way but in an accepting way. The right keep trying to stoke a culture war for a cheap laugh and what happens is I get beaten up for wearing a dress.

@@spacechannelfiver yeah its like all the bathroom bollocks a fair number of trans people go unaffected because you know after surgery they are women and are indistinguishable with butch woman being the ones that often get harassed and bullied over it at least from what I've seen though it also disproportionately affects trans kids which is absolutely awful and the last thing they need

Rory: "I think as britain becomes more diverse, it's gonna be much more likely that we see all the political parties being more diverse across the board" Duh. It's almost like you can't tell someone's personal political beliefs by the colour of their skin. I'm really disappointed that these two have absorbed the postmodern diversity racism.

Yep ... the Tories love putting their brown people at the front as some sort of apology for diversity, look at their back benches, all white! Immigrants can be as or more conservative and *British (* read Little English) then the rest of us.

The reason people were silent at yet another failed Dizzie quip was because they were thinking, 'that's not proper alliteration', and 'Russia calls it Kiev, Ukrainians call it Kyiv, so to take one of her gaffs, how's side is she on?' ... or maybe they were all still reeling at the surrealism of it.
