I found this watch by chance through a friend who said it was a very special watch. I came up with the idea of restoring it, we used a lot of specialized tools like a sandblaster to clean the watch. Take a look at our results

Why can't we stop these so called restorers from touching delicate things like this Russian aeroplane clock. I saw already enough just by looking the way he removed the hands and it just got worse when he sandblasted the dial. This is certainly not a watchmaker. It's a butcher, butchering a nice timepiece.

OMG... you sandblast a gorgeous dial, removed the hands using tweezers, used a toothbrush on plates and wheels (holding by the pinion) and at 12:56 you are using a power tool to "clean" the base plate and the parts, can not believe this. The dial and the hands are bent and the lume was totally removed. This marvelous cockpit clock is absolutelly ruined, you killed him

Don't take my comment as a negative one. I'm just pointing out some things that you must no do them. There are special cleaning solution for watches, and special oils for pivots. Never use e metal brush on the base plate and bridges. The seconds hand touches the minutes hand. Probably you didn't pressed the hands correctly and the space between them is not ok or they are bent. Stop using plyers.

No lubricant? It is a precision instrument, not a kitchen utensil. Finesse is what is needed here. Next time you should watch one of a million youtube videos of timepiece restorations before taking on such a restoration. My comment is in good faith.

This type of clock is mounted on Soviet and Russian military aircraft, from the early Sukhoi Su 9 and MiG 9 models to modern fighters and transports with electronic controls. I have three such clocks, from the transport AN2 (exactly the model as in the film), a little more modern from the Iliushin 76 and another from the Su 34 attack bomber. The clocks are characterized by very high precision of indications regardless of the overload vectors acting on them and an efficient anti-freezing installation to use at low temperatures (the two large connections on the back of the clock). Overall a nice gadget that looks good not only in the cockpit but also at home as an alarm clock ;P But my heart hurts to see how damaged this clock was before and how much damage was done after this so-called renovation. Unfortunately, in order to work with clocks and monuments, apart from basic skills, you need both knowledge and practice. Not to mention the lack of any watchmaking skills (destruction of the clock face, destruction of the hands and assembly without the use of any grease in the bearings and gear pins, not to mention the checking, cleaning and maintenance of the drive spring assemblies)

OMG!! Please let a watchmaker do some stuff in your behalf, you're not familiar with how delicate are watches parts, seing you removing the hands with those tweezers, seemed to me like see a dentist operating with woodmaker's pincers! It's a great watch, maybe part of an airplane dashboard.

Это танковые часы. На самолетных и вертолетных есть дополнительный циферблат для регистрации времени полета.

Танковые имеют совершенно другой механизм . Диаметр меньше с заводом в виде кольца. Их ещё выпускали в настольному варианте с заводом пружины с задней крышки . Для этого был установлен заводной вал с переходной шестернёй которая часто ломалась так как пружина была очень сильной . Стрелки переводились этим же валом .

Это жутко до смеха. Дальше снятия стрелок щипцами смотрел уже с болью. Так поиздеваться над механизмом... А ведь часы еще проявляли признаки работоспособности... Эти часы пережили не один десяток лет в кабине танка и такая бесславная кончина. Хотя справедливости ради должен заметить что судя по циферблату этот азиатский гений не первый кто хотел их смерти.

Танковые часы. Иногда ставили и на самолеты. Механизм сложный, не каждый не каждый возьмется чинить. У меня такие стоят с Ан-2 уже много лет и работают.

Это не танковые а авиационные, причём простейшая модификация ! Такие часы могут работать десятилетиями ! Главное условие чтобы они не попали в руки таких криворуких ремонтников ! Сердце кровью обливается когда видишь такое варварство ! Это просто покалеченный механизм! Этому горе * мастеру * я бы пожелал чтобы ему подобным образом зубы полечили!! За долгие десятилетия работы часовым мастером мне пришлось много видеть покалеченных часов такими * мастерами * и зачастую они были или очень трудно востановимы или вообще становились мусором ! И это до сих пор приводит меня в ярость, ведь люди делали их чтобы они жили и служили людям ! 😢

It's not that, what you were working on doesn't even come close to being a "watch" in terms of size. The piece looks more like it's to be mount on wood like a table (plaque/stand)

Автор молодец , но стрелка секундная цепляет минутную стрелку и останавливается , и задние гайки ввиде шестеренок поставил уже без прокладок , и пыль не убрал , глаза режет Ну а так , красиво
