What was the substance you used to ‘stain’ the blade? And after you wash the blade is it fine for using with food?

It can be used for the kitchen, it is safer than eating potatoes fried in sunflower oil from aluminum dishes)

This substance is no longer there, the chemical reaction ended, after that I washed the cleaver using a sponge and detergent, and covered with oil. This tool is well suited for dividing large pieces of meat into small pieces, it is also convenient to cut herbs and various vegetables with this cleaver, you need to put it on the kitchen board with the middle part of the cutting edge, and cut with the cutting part that is closer to the hand, I have seen people do this, and I tried to do this, it is convenient, but not usual

This cleaver is hardened, why put it in the oven? 57-59 normal hardness. There are much softer 54 I found one, but the sharpening angle needs to be different, and it will work at such hardness
