Just 2 recommendations: 1. You should remove the battery. You are extremely lucky because it is definitely dead otherwise the bios would be @@@@@ 2. I have the exact same heatsink in the processor and the fan is removable. Remove it and put the heatsink under water with pressure. All the dust will be gone. At the end of your video there is some dust left in the heatsink. Overall you did very good cleaning.

You don't have to spread the thermal paste like butter. Just a little bit in the center will spread evenly by itself when the heat sink is secured.

The motherboard should never be wet. Clean with isopropyl alcohol. And forgot to clean the cables and wires, but the intention was good. Lucky you didn't short it.

You can separate the cpu cooler from the heatsink. Cmos battery have to remove. Better use blower or contact cleaner.

Что у Вас за вода такая волшебная!?! так намыть материнскую плату даже батарейку не вынули биоса это должное отдать надо, я стакан с водой было дело опрокинул на мать как я ее не сушил но она после этого не завелась больше не разу (( печально но так и есть, а вообще сталкивался надо было капитальную чистку делать но для этого брал дистиллированную воду .

Сначала я подумал - неужели только кисточкой обойдется после того, как отсоединял штекеры с платы, упершись в нее отверткой? Но через минуту плата начала купальные процедуры вместе с кулером))) HDD надо было все-таки помыть внутри и блины щеткой с зубной пастой почистить. Пойду окуну телевизор в луже, а то запылился!

To all you who are saying the water will ruin your computer, you are wrong. I restore old machines for retro gaming and some are so messed up they go straight into the dishwasher. They come out looking brand new, especially with the anti corrosion tablets you put in the dishwasher. As long as you blow out the water and dry it straight after, it’s fine. I let it sit and dry for at least one day before testing it. The only thing I would suggest is to take out the cpu before cleaning it and removing the battery.

You can wash them, just be sure they're rinsed thoroughly and dried. I've had to wash motherboards that were in nasty kitchen environments because of the grease. That stuff doesn't come off without hot water and detergents.
