Precisely how not to clean, repair or otherwise restore a muddy computer. Let me count the ways of what NOT to do: 1.) Submerge computer components in muddy water. 2.) DO NOT USE A TOOTHBRUSH on any CPU socket. LGA or ZIF Socket or any other CPU interface. 3.) Do not use a wet and dirty horsehair paintbrush to "clean" computer parts, especially in dirty water. 4.) Do not open or "breach" mechanical hard disk drive enclosures in outdoor environments. 5.) Do not use a PSU that has been submerged in caustic liquids, heavy cleaning solutions or water. 6.) Simply put, do not attempt to rescue and or restore a computer that has been submerged in the muck of a nearby river or pond and caked in mud. Best thing to do with a computer in this condition is to clean the mud off everything, disassemble the whole machine and take it to the local recycling center and get rid of it. 7.) Whatever you do, don't try what this guy is doing in this video at home. He's what you would call a "professional." A professional what? I don't know and I don't want to know. Cute video by the way. You're better off doing cleaning and restorations of old muddy bicycles however. At least by doing that, one; you're actually doing something more worthwhile. Two; you're far less likely to be accused of faking a restoration and thereby increasing your credibility instead of decreasing it. Just a friendly suggestion and not trying to be mean or anything. Just looking to encourage honesty.

yeah you can clean your motherboard using water. if the condition of your motherboard is ok. i mean there is no bent on CPU socket and no corrosion in any IC on your motherboard. I had tried to do this method on cleaning my motherboard and i works just fine. Just make sure that your motherboard is totally dry before you put processor, RAM and VGA Card on it. But for this video i can assure you this is fake. First, whats the point on fixing SATA cable and PSU when you can buy the new one. at least he can buy a good monitor shown in this video. Second, when you find muddy HDD and muddy DVD ROM like he did, I will directly put into garbage bag. you cannot put a muddy any HDD or DVD ROM into the water. It will destroyed the components inside the HDD case. Because it is very sensitive. That is why i cannot be fooled by the things he did in this video.

I believe this video is fake (a good one though), need some explaining from the creator. 1. The hard drive and psu are submerged in water, these components will fail if water gets in them. 2. The creator places a cover on the computer at the end, however the computer found was missing it and there is no way he found the exact cover. It is also clean, if it was found near the computer, it would be dirty and the creator would show cleaning it

А зачем САТА кабель то паять? Можно было б новый поставить: не такое уж и дорогое удовольство. Правда не знаю насчёт пайки. Говорят вроде, что там сопротивление меняется и передача данных была бы затруднена. Да и в целом электрику он так себе сделал. Плюс на сокете контакты гнутые были: тот ли это компьютер в конце видео, что он сделал?
