If you didn't see the previous parts, at least give part 1 a quick look, so you will see the sorry state the card was in originally :-) Music: Scott Buckley - Pariah, under CC license. ( www.scottbuckley.com.au )

That's a lot of hard work. I'm not going to lie, for some reason I also like to do that kind of work sometimes. which economically do not make any sense but for personal satisfaction and to know how to do it just in case. Or maybe something is broken in my brain. But it doesn't seem like the 5000 series is going to be cheaper. And in case you have a 4090 with a similar problem, it is starting to make sense.

A lot of work. I had a card used on a beach. It was corroded everywhere and I was an idiot for accepting to fix it. The worst repair in my entire life. Anyway, congratulations for your hard work.

Thanks, it was a lot of work yes... but that was the idea. It was for my own satisfaction, saving a really really nice card. I just love this particular MSI one. Still rocks if you are not into the entire RTX thing.

@@DIYRepairHour I play Fortnite and Dragon Mania Legends. There is no way I need anything more powerful than a 1080 in my computer. It isn't even a "Ti" one but it does its job great. It's a repaired one and it is working just fine. I also repaired this one for my own satisfaction and for my own use.. that until a kid needs a video card and I have nothing else to give 😂

@@Dandan-tg6tj yeah I played fallout 76 lately, and having 1070 ti in my system. It maxed the frame rate. Unfortunately it died again as it is heavily corroded. But it will be in a video soon as a core donor.

Use a knife tip for your soldering iron. Will give you much better results.

I do have all the possible tips, the thing is those are for my old soldering iron which is not great for precision work, it uses T900. I yet to buy more Type-210 / Type-245 ones, those are on the expensive side :(
