Thank you for emphasizing both that the land that needs to be restored is the land that we're actively using or have already used, and that humanity is not the enemy. I hate it when people say "humans are cancer" or "humans are an invasive species" as though there is something fundamentally incompatible between humans and the rest of the biosphere. No. We absolutely can and should cohabit the land with nonhuman organisms in a way that is mutually beneficial. This is much more sustainable than our current way of declaring giant swaths of land to be either wild or developed. It's also the most likely way to get people onboard with the idea.

Cool video, first I've seen from you. Thank you. People often don't understand that species succession is a process that changes over time. There are many stages that need to occur before a 'stable', or 'climax', ecology* is established. edit:* wrong word, long day and I'm mentally exhausted

1:06 _you can help_ *too* unless you meant to say "you can help to..." something, but you never finished the sentence. The point is, if you can't remember which *to* is appropriate, just say "as well" instead. It will help you appear more professional and educated. Pam Tom's wife
