I love older stuff way more than new stuff. Older stuff looks more interesting and has more buttons on it. You could mess with its dials all day. Also I always liked how screens on older TVs were made of glass and not a black plastic and I liked how the edges are curved and not just a flat rectangle.

I definetly agree to some extent, much of modern design is so.. cold and inhumam, its not nice, but i dont think bringing back crts the best idea bc they gave off not so cool radation that could mess with other devices which was more a concern in workplaces but still can kinda mess with modern tech. (Edit: clarification since this was written late at night and everyone thought I meant radiation = bad, were surrounded by radiation every day and ourselves give it off and only in super high doses its a problem, it's mainly a tech problem with crts and their ability to interfere with most modern tech)

I remember these TVs very well! I was a TV repairman back in the early 80s, and on weekends had a second job doing a couple of shifts at the Radio Shack across the street. There was some time share company or multi-level marketing company that was giving these Broksonic TVs away to people that would come to one of their recruitment meetings. They came with the 110v power cord, but not the 12v power adapter - and they drew at least 1amp, probably more, which was a pretty beefy power adapter at the time. We always knew when they'd had another recruitment drive because we'd get a flood of people coming in to RS wanting a 12v adapter for their car. We would quickly sell out of the only one that we carried that was rated high enough to power this thing and we'd have to turn a lot of people away. Fast forward to Monday/Tuesday and I'd be behind the counter at the TV shop when many of the same people would show up wanting the same thing from us. The guy who ran the shop saw the trend and ordered a bunch of the power connectors and cigarette light cords and built a bunch of straight through adapter cables to sell, but they were a little more expensive than the ones RS carried... so after the customers got done with the double takes and realizing I was the same guy they'd seen the day before across the street I had to defend myself for charging more than they expected to pay. I finally started asking my boss to take all of these requests while I happily stayed at the bench buried in the guts of someone's dead console unit...

This is so satisfying. I used to have one of these televisions as a kid, and I would take it into the bathroom with me and set it on the toilet while I laid in the tub and watched threes company on a grainy black and white screen. Simpler times, but I remember it being just one of the most relaxing and satisfying times of my childhood. Thank you for this.

OMG....my dad had a TV almost identical to this that he kept in the cab of his semi!! It might even be the same one, but it's been soo long ago I can't be sure. Lol. I used to watch it whenever I was on the road with him in the summer. I remember struggling to tune into the channel that Alien Nation was on so I could watch it while going down the highway! 🤣 Every few miles I had to retune it because the signal would get fuzzy. Brings back so many memories! At least someone is trying to restore some of these older machines!!

Recycling firm: We gave its batteries to power plants, we gave its screen back to glassblowing firms, we gave the the circuit board and motherboards back to the of departs of computer technologies, specially, Microsoft, Apple, Samsung, Nintendo, Sony and so on… lastly, we recycled your metal, at a welding firm. Your players metal parts, their being burned into liquid metal atm, we have what’s called molds, the molds are forms of shapes the liquids would be poured into, they’ll stay in them in what’s called an isolation chamber for well over a week and you’ll see on tv a unit that’s actually empty and is never seen showing it’s label as the label isn’t shown because the label just reads property of its company and that it’s for inquiry purposes, it’s meant to be a meeting rooms demo, model, display, dummy unit.

A portable mini TV. Gosh that takes me back. In the nineties I had a full colour handheld pocket TV, a Samsung or Phillips brand it was, I can't remember. But it was a nice little thing, and I remember watching ITV Nights on it in my bedroom. Looks wise, it wasn't spectacular, imagine a Game Boy, but dark grey colour and with a long aerial, wrist strap and wire stand attached.

Oh My God, this brings me back...I used to own one, whenever I was sent to my room, I used to watch it in bed,(parents didn't know). as back then there was only one tv in the house, so this was luxury for me, even when I was being punished, ;-), remember watching the WWF with Hulk Hogan. Thank you for video.

Just remembering those days about people watching their small TV radio on the front porch. Then the ballgame program would be playing and a six pack of beer. That's grandfather don't bother him.
