So many beautiful features on the Vincent, I'm a bit surprised there's no drain plug on the primary case.

The thinking was that it could be caught and broken off on a curb. These is a boss in the casting for a drain plug, but it isn’t drilled.

Hehe, yes those are all 1 Quart containers. I get a little mixed up sometime, trying to convert from Imperial measurements.. and we won't even get started on Whitworths 😉 best wishes, Mike

I’d try a vacuum pump to extract primary oil. Easy. Beautiful machine!

Have had a beautiful Comet, like you, for a number of years but now have a Rapide to take up the last bit of any spare time I may have had 😅. Anyway, when are you coming up to Victoria?

Mike my biddies in VOC in Vancouver tell me that the oil should only just be touching the bottom of the dipstick or excessive leakage may occur.

Mike, ,maybe use a syringe with a flexi tube to remove most of the primary case oil??
