Восстановление весьма говенное! Способ пайки просто разорвал все мои шаблоны. Ну и конечно же, именно такого размера диффузор динамика завалялся у него в сарае. Рукожопство, как оно есть.

На стадии установки диффузора необходимо было оцентровать его. Теперь слышно, как катушка "царапает" о сердечник. А это "косяк"! Но!! Всё равно молодец! Руки из плеч растут.

When you install the spider and the voice coil, you should use 1 or more layers of paper inside the coil to make sure it is centered.

I'm 73 and I've been doing that since I was 17 and the amps were with vacuum valves ... All very well; but at no time did you put the spacers to center the coil ... Also hardly notice the movement of the cone: FAKE!

You forgot to replace the binding posts and rewire the speaker leads from the amp. There are also air leaks in the cabinet and there needs to be polyfil in the cab. Great B&W find!

@@taon707 nah man, as much as I wish to believe that, the real problem is the immense coil rub caused by the poorly centered coil inside the magnet. As the cone is moving, the coil is rubbing the magnet. Don't get me wrong, mic clipping at low frequency is a real thing, you can hear it in loud bass installs on KZbin like exo's builds. But this is a clear case of coil rub and it's a shame because the rest of the restoration looks decent

Реставрация корпуса конечно треш. Нужно было шлифмашинкой снять весь лак до дерева. Потом морилкой вскрыть. И тогда уже лаком. Если это дерево, то можно было масловоском. Для масловоска не нужны никакие инструменты и качество получается просто великолепное. Вышло бы даже лучше чем было.

I watched it over again and didnt see him shim it, either way definitely sounds like voice coil dragging and grounding out on the magnet. Or the tinsel lead grounding out on the basket, but from my experience I'd say coil rub.

Именно так. Основная проблема "поживших" колонок в нарушении центровки катушки, из-за чего и хрипы. Центровка простая: на момент сборки под катушку подкладывается бумага типа калька. После приклеивания бумага вынимается, а ровный зазор остается. Автор явно этого не понимает.
