Awesome little engine. No torque wrenching or cross thatching the cylinder but you gotta make due with what you have. Runs like a champ now. Gotta see the rest of it restored. It'll be a great little vehicle for carrying things around the yard and farm or around his village.

So, no new parts then. Not even proper gaskets. Even reused the tab washers. Someone is going to buy that as reconditioned. Didn’t even clean out the crankcase. And no sign of a torque wrench anywhere.

They're never going to finish the UAZ 469 jeep. I think they commented that they couldn't finish it. probably didn't have paperwork for ownership or similar or ran out of money.

Out of curiosity, was this originally a homemade vehicle or was it manufactured by a company? ...looks very crudely made if it was manufactured by a company. Aslo; - What airgun are you using? ...looks like a good copy of a ingersoll rand (written as a compliment of course) - Isn't the in this vehicle a stationary engine? ....for e.g. a water pump or something?

This channel appears to be part of a larger group of channels all doing the same thing from the same yard. If you watch more of both this guy's videos and those of his fellow rebuilders, you will notice that many machines share the same engine. I think it must be a commonly available power plant that can be easily adapted to run both stationery and road going items.

Why not finish the engine restoration last and get started with the body, the engine is easy spark, pressure, fuel. Boom. It works. Body is improvisation. Each time. For each body. Never the same thing twice.
