This guitar came to me needing quite a lot of work. The main issue was that many years ago the guitar was dropped causing a severe crack in the neck. The crack had been repaired but it was done very badly. This guitar meant a lot to David, it's owner. And it was a pleasure for me to restore it and make it fully playable once again.

What a lovely channel, expertly presented. I came to it via the Bridge Doctor which thank you for that video and hopefully will resolve the bellying on my two early 1980s MIJ Martin clones that is currently feels like squeezing golf balls due to the height of the action. I'm looking forward to watching some more of your videos.

Thanks for the encouragement. When I started making videos I thought that I sounded incredibly boring and that no one would watch them. Still do! But many people seem to like my relaxed approach.

@@flameguitars5770 Boring? Not at all! Your videos are quite relaxing to watch. You're very thoughtful in your presentation and your work. It's really neat to see what goes into all of these projects. And you have a very good variety of work that you're showing off. Honestly, if it weren't cost prohibitive to send it across the pond I'd happily bring my own guitar to you for work!

It's interesting that it's made in 1962, as the first few Bjärton J-45s were made in 1963.

I'm afraid i don't know enough about the history of Hagstrom guitars to answer that.

It looks like an H-45 which was made by Bjärton. It was sold as a Bjärton J-45 in Sweden but Hagström had the export rights.
