Restoration of an old Emergency Stop Lamp❌❌❌!

I fell in love with this lamp as soon as I saw it in the ad. I immediately imagined how cool it would look after the restoration.
Lantern restoration process:
First of all, I disassembled the flashlight into small parts. All rusty parts went to the sandblasting chamber, the rest of the parts underwent long-term polishing.
To paint this lantern, I first decided to use auto enamel. It turns out that in the auto enamel store, it is possible not only to mix the required paint color, but also then, pour this paint into an aerosol can. This is very convenient if you rarely paint something, and the amount of work is small, then there is no need to buy expensive spray guns.
This work was not difficult, but it dragged on, because my body decided to pick up a virus that has become popular in recent times, and I spent two weeks in bed)))

Love these old things being brought back to life. I was at a garage sale that had a ton of posters from WW 1 and 2 , great artwork. I picked up a bunch of soviet posters as well as US , English and Canadian. Back then it seems like everything was made mire purposely.

Да, был у нас такой фонарь. В детстве часто с ним играл. Потом куда то пропал. Скорее всего батя его выбросил. Он был в очень плохом состоянии. Кнопки с него я уже потом увидел на корпусе самодельной цветомузыки. Цвет помню был такой, не знаю как назвать даже. В таком цвете выходили мотоциклы Иж тройки ещё. Кто помни, тот знает. P.S. Кстати, параллельное соединение батареек, это большой косяк тех, кто придумал это. Батарейки равномерно не разряжаются. Всегда найдётся один, который будет дохнуть быстрее и будет тянуть за собой остальных. Самое простое решение здесь, это соединение каждой батареек через диод, но инженерам видимо было пофиг.

What type batteries were those? I've never seen any like that before. I was surprised you didn't clean the red lens before you fixed the edge with the home-made red epoxy mixture. There was a lot of dirt on on that lens cap. But in the end It came out very nice...

These batteries are 3lr12, 4.5 volts each. It seems to me that I cleaned the red lens pretty well, maybe these frames did not make it into the video!

Interesting adapter replacing the big battery with those smaller batteries. There are even adapters for AA batteries as replacement for those batteries :)

Спасибо! Батареи соединены параллельно. Думаю что из за яркого освещения в мастерской кажется что свет тусклый, а так пробовал, ночью во дворе светит довольно хорошо! Корпус довольно прочно стягивает рукоятка, так что смысла не увидел .
