Restoration of filmstrip F 5

In this video, I will restore the old filmoscope. For painting, I used powder paint, it is more wear-resistant and durable than usual. I also completely dismantled the transformer, replaced some parts and filled it with varnish using a vacuum unit. Chrome was restored with thermochromic varnish, I really like this method, it is simple, and the result is excellent.

У меня до сих пор такой дома стоит . Работает . И пленки старые : " Нильс, с дикими гусями", "Медведь и пряничная избушка", " Вовка в тридевятом царстве"... и много других. Это модель фильмоскопа Ф-49, город Минск. В процессе работы корпус сильно нагревается , поэтому по богам есть "жабры", а на ощупь он шершавый такой . Не было на нем глянцевого покрытия. У них 2 цвета было темно-серый и черный, кстати в том месте, куда изначально закладывается пленка ( 18:27 ) внутри была приклеена бархатная тряпочка, чтобы пленка лежала как в мягком "ложе" и не царапалась . Кроме того при выкручивании пленки в объективе не видно было пылинок и соринок - они оставались на этой бархатной тряпочке . Все продумано )))) У вас ее нет в модели. Видимо, она была утрачена за годы.

Советский, помню такой. Нам в 70-ых в детском садике заменял Диснея и СоюзМультфильм :) Первый домашний кинотеатр. За сохранение такого раритета лайк"! У меня сохранились пару (мульт)фильмов, может посмотрим, вспомним детство? :)

Хорошее видео, так держать. Некоторым листовым деталям не хватает слесарки, фасочку снять, заусенцы убрать, плоскость рихтануть, глубокие каверны зашпаклевать. Отдельно по пайке: слишком мало греешь, спай остается "холодным", нужно дождаться пока припой не станет жидким и глянцевым, будет и гораздо надежнее и визуально такая пайка выглядит сильно лучше.

Да с пайкой не очень получилось, надо было убрать весь старый припой и использовать новый, следующий раз так буду делать

Да-да, задрочить изделие напильником до усёра, заполировать всё накуй, как вы ща любите, замазать всё шпатлёвкой (где надо и где нах не надо), заипенить всё в "золото", чтобы "дорого-богато" выглядело и обозвать этот процесс "реставрацией". По мне чел реально, в отличие от пришибленных банкой полироли, без выипонов и новомодных изысков отремонтировал устройство, представил его в рабочее состояние - максимально сохранив оригинальный вид. Вообщем, отремонтировал - не превратив оригинал в "пушистого Иисуса".

I like that Thermochromic paint. Where did you get it from? Powder coating is so superior to other paints in my opinion... Also do you think the powder varnish was actually worth it? I mean I couldn't see any differences before and after you used that finish. Thumbs Up!

Powder varnish makes the surface more glossy and hides some irregularities. I buy thermochromic varnish, it is sold, I love it, this is the easiest way to chrome.

Personally I would have replaced the old transformer and bulb with an LED. Low voltage and a lot safer than that manky old winding. I know he did a continuity test and possibly a resistance test but I still would rather replace the guts. ✌️❤️🇬🇧

I have never seen a transformer being restored, thank you for showing us. But you soldering job is horrible, when messing with decades old solder only way to do that is removing all of the old solder with a desoldering pump and completely reflowing it.

I was thinking the same thing. My ex used to repair musical equipment and his desoldering machine was always in use. Cold solder joints were the biggest issues in amplifiers, causing intermittent problems.

Is not a good idea remove passivation on magnetic sheet, if you know about leakage flux. They have to be distanced each-other with some paint (or minimum thickness insulating paper), or efficiency ratio of transformer reduces a lot (and reliability too)!

Без пескоструя ремонт был бы невозможен! Можно было заменить трансформатор на мини-лампочку 15Ватт 220Вольт(как в холодильнике), но без очистки ржавчины ремонт бы не получился.
