Artist at work here, though there tyres may provide good grip with renewed treads, doing anything over 30-40 kmph will be a gamble. These are best kept as spare tyres and driven at low speeds till you find a repair shop. Resoling the existing tyre will be a much more economical option considering that it will be almost as safe as a new tyre.

In the motorcycle community racing for land speed records the tread was cut off by hand because the bald tires handled the higher speeds better than tires with factory tread. Apparently it was less mass and easier to handle. I wouldn't want to use tires like these for hauling heavy weight but otherwise for commuting to work sure.

Impressive hand skills that I can remember from 65 years ago when our local removal van company used to recut their lorry tyres by hand. Not sure it would be allowed in the UK today though.

I agree on using recycled tires only as a spare or off asphalt at low speeds. Inspiring on what can be done, but cutting towards your body is not for the weak hearted nor for someone wanting to live a long life. Be safe than sorry!

Anything more than a farm cart, your risking your life. Tread wear bars are put on tires for a reason. However, any attempt to recycle ♻️ is admirable.

Re-grooving by hand that’s a hard way of doing it there’s a tiny little machine you can buy for about 25 bucks does a great job

v Simple idea! The working position is very, very dangerous. If the blade escaped the tire ... it would hit the worker in the stomach. More precisely, too close to the femoral artery .

Grew up in the Caribbean and used to be poor and buy used tires. I remember that the thread looked good on the used tires and I used to wonder why people would change good tires. Long story short, tires would not last at all, couple of thousand miles and they were bald. A friend of mine told me that they tire shops would regroove the tires with specialty hot knives. I always thought he was just BS'ing me. Now I know that he was not. One thing I can tell you, is that that rubber at the end of the of the tire is not meant to be driven on, it will not last...

Them "retreads" are probably fine over there because most of the roads are sand, but we sure wouldn't want to use them on the interstates and highways here in the U.S.

If I’m running high speeds like expressway driving I’m going to want new tires but if you are inner city driving low speed just banging around town then these tires would probably be fine. Or for the 2 rear tires at least.

इससे टायर का ओवर आल स्ट्रेंथ 50% भी नहीं रहता है । जिससे चलते वाहन में टायर फटता है । इनपर प्रतिबंध लगना चाहिए । स्सते में लेना बहुत महेंगा पड़ सकता है इससे अच्छा रिट्रीट टायर ले लो कम से कम स्ट्रेंथ तो रहेगी।
